The wiki states this about ship critical hits:
When a weapon hits in Ship Combat it has a chance to score a Critical Hit. These effects represent the fearsome capability of certain ship weapons to score devastating hits against critical components on an enemy ship.
A Critical Hit will cause the Internal Damage being done by that attack to be increased by 100%. Critical Hit damage multipliers include Radiation damage done by that weapon. Void Damage is not effected by Critical Hits. A Critical Hit increases the number of crew who are injured during the application of Internal Damage.
The last point makes me wonder if the damage is spread out among more crew members, or if this heightened damage is applied at full value to more crew members.
So imagine a base internal damage of 20 (not radiation). Critical hit raises it to 40. Normally, say, 4 crew would be hit. Now suppose 8 are hit due to the critical hit.
Is 40/8 = 5 damage done to each of the eight, or is 40/4 = 10 damage done to each of the 8 crew members?

drspendlove - crew damage is determined by 2 scores. Damage done to Crew x Number of Crew Hit. Say, Damage Done to Crew = 20 Number of Crew Hit = 6 Now, you get a Critical Hit, Number of Crew Hit +5 Now ... Damage Done to Crew = 20 Number of Crew Hit = 11 Like most places where crew take damage, 11 crew are selected and suffer 20 damage. The the same crew could take 2 or more of these hits. The numbers above are 100% made up, but express the algorithm.

Is radiation damage doubled beyond the 2x multiplier for internal damage on critical hits?

Damage Done to Crew = 20 Number of Crew Hit = 11 Like most places where crew take damage, 11 crew are selected and suffer 20 damage. The the same crew could take 2 or more of these hits. The numbers above are 100% made up, but express the algorithm. Actually, you didn't explicitly say... in the above example, is 20 damage the total damage spread amongst all 11 crew hit, or crew would take 20 per hit?

Per hit.
