Question about xp

Quick question - if some of the crew are at max xp, do they still take a share of xp gained after that point?

Reason I ask is that it would be much easier to level up new recruits in this situation if the old guys didn't get xp - I am guessing that the answer is yes they do still take xp, but just wanted to clarify.

Yes, they still take up XP
