So at long last, I got one of the plotlines to trigger. It's great! I had some typo feedback and also some other feedback.
After you get the sword, when you go back to talk to Mier, I was surprised that he automatically takes the sword. There is a clue about the *reverse* earlier, which says that if we don't return to him, then we can keep the sword. That is fine, but I feel it is not sufficient to conclude that if I do talk to him, I will lose the sword. Can you add a decision point into this dialog, instead of having him automatically take it? Perhaps an internal thought bubble for the captain which says, "But this is such a fine sword, perhaps we should keep it".
Most importantly, the plotline fails to complete. After I completed the followup quest to get the void-sextant, the mission text says "We should return the void-sextant". Mier is still a contact, but when I click on him to get the options, there is no story option and none of his missions relate to this. Maybe there is a trigger for the final story mission which is missing?
Dialog line "Jain De Rivesh lead expeditions" should be "led"
Captain dialog line "If we were compenstated" should be "compensated"
Dialog line "As we climbed into orbit, three ships waiting for us" is missing a verb, probably "there were three ships"
Status line "We have gained +20 rep with De Valtos +60 rep with Mier" is missing a conjunction, probably "De Valtos and +60 rep"
The below points are not related to the plotline, but encountered during the same playthrough:
In the speech where estelle announces the new era, there is a line "She now stands as the figure head". Figurehead should be one word.
In the screen just before a crew fight, I learned that the ">>" button displays the information about each crew. This screen displays the combat skills, and leaves out their non-combat skills, which I suppose is OK. But, it also leaves out the post-boarding victory skills. Since the victory actions are limited to the skills of the team actually in the combat, this is important. I had several spies with, and several without the Unauthorized Access boarding skill, and I could not tell which is which using this screen. Can you please add the post-boarding skills in this screen?
In the screen that shows stashes, can you add information about the system name, and maybe the distance? It is awkward to click the waypoint button, then go out to the galaxy map, and then follow the arrows to find the system. The contact panel, for example, directly shows the jump count or AU distance.
In the screen where I purchase rare goods from a contact, if I do not have sufficient reputation, it just says "We lack the reputation required to negotiate the purchase". But all the other screens, such as recruiting crew, or getting introductions, etc all show the exact requirements so I can see if I am close or not. Can you add the requirements to this screen?
