Switching ships and retaining both..?

In reviewing some of the threads I hear of people buying or boarding another ship and retaining both. How does that work? I can see how having a really fast ship for rumor shopping/missions and a large cargo hauler located near your caches could work well.

What you need to do is use the "Purchase" ship button.

This will place your new Ship in the "Dry Dock" which is located in the Military Base.

Purchase is more expensive and only allowed when you have Military Rank or the Urban Zone is independent.
