I think we (Cory) should devise a hash function for Templates that outputs a string that can be copied to the copy-paste buffer. Then other players could create a template designed by other players by inserting it into a little option for "Import Template", kind of like using someone else's map seed. This could make it really really easy to share non-standard "beginner" templates, or really any templates at all. The downside is largely that you'll have to be careful to not break the template hash function going forward. And time, I suppose.

This was always the plan with templates. They are stored as JSON strings in the saved game folder.
Wiring up a copy and paste button would be pretty awesome!
