I can't say that I get boarded very often, but it would be cool to have some sort of talent that helped if you get boarded. I'm thinking of some sort of sabotage of your own ship that would cause damage to the fighting crew of an enemy boarding party. Call it "Nasty Surprise" and give it to Scavenger. The result would be that the enemy combatants enter combat with some level of damage taken already. If it needs a downside, maybe it could damage some component on your ship. Maybe it could even be used during Scavenger or Explore crew fights. There could be more or less potent versions too. Maybe an exoscout version where 1-4 enemy crew start with a poison debuff.

Thanks for the suggestion. It is possible that in the future we'll add Talents that will both buff your own boarding crew or debuff the enemy boarding crew in some fashion. I think there may also be space for a Talent that debuffs the enemy's ability to board in the first place, along with other range change penalties.

I was thinking about this a bit too but in terms of ship component variants of cargo/quarters/etc that caused effects on enemy boarding teams when they boarded you, or gave you buffs when you boarded. Or even a "ready room" component itself that gives an extra crew init buff tick or something.
