I've been playing around with the morale destroying après-boarding talents. A few times now I've gotten the enemy captain to bonk out. At least that's what I assume is happening because they weren't in the combat and I didn't use a damage inducing talent, but after combat I get the message "Enemy Captain has suffered a fatal wound." It's a small thing, but a different message would be good. "Enemy Captain has surrendered the bridge." or something like that. I really like the idea that we can force this by crushing their morale.

Did the foe have a self-buff that caused crew damage? Or did you have a DoT applied from earlier?

There is no "Captain Morale Defeat" condition. Only Captain Hit Points.

Maybe I had a DoT debuff on them then and that got them.

I am just wondering what "enemy captain to bonk out" means ... ?
You fought them in combat?

Sorry, bike/running term. I just meant like when they stop contributing because their morale is so low, but as Cory said that doesn't happen with captains, at least not in a way that triggers defeat. Maybe it should though. If Captian morale goes below 10?, 20? they just give up.

Any rule like that would be symmetrical and very unfortunate for players across the quadrants.

And we've tried it before ... we know it doesn't work.

You guys are getting so soft in your old age. With a larger player base I'm sure your mug of years is probably still full, but the richness must be gone.
With that said, I'm very glad to see you guys bringing in more players.

The tears flow freely and somehow we seem to make better and better games.
