You can filter on 'officers' here, but there isn't a way to invert the selection and get your crew who aren't officers.
Without an ability to filter out officers, auto-training isn't as useful as it could be.
The auto-trainer wants to train everything that matches the filter, and if an officer matches the filter and has all his job trainings taken but has a talent left to train, it wants to train that talent on that officer too. This is shown above.
But this is not something I find all that useful. If my officer doesn't have one talent used, it doesn't mean I don't care what he gets. Instead, what this means is that I am waiting for him to reach the next level where the new talents show, and then immediately grab one of those. I don't want him to have any of the talents he could train now. With a way to filter out the officers, I could train the few crew whose talents I care about, have the rest autotrain, and have my officers who are waiting wait. As it stands I either have to train the crew by hand, even when I don't care what they get, or respec my officers when they reach the level they have been waiting for.
I do this a lot with engineer officers. I am fine with their first talent being Port Maintenance, but as soon as they hit level 5 I want Assisted Installation. Then I have them install a level 5 weapons cabinet and excuse themselves off the ship so that their officer's spot can go to a career combat officer. That's not happening with the screenshot -- I have kept this one around longer because this is my challenge build and I want to get out of the Juror as soon as I can afford a price reduced new ship. But it is something I do a lot. So the 'waiting officer' vs autotraining problem is one I am constantly running into.
