So I am aware that skill pools stop adding after you hit 200 percent in an area( electronics, pilot, etc). My question is if I install an upgrade that has 2 required electronics more than the module I replaced does that mean that in addition to the modules effect that my crew skill in electronics has an increased effect for all electronics related rolls( assuming that crew can handle the increased demand)? Or does it just increase the threshold to attain the previous max effect? For example: ship requires 20 pilot to operate at 100 efficiency. Current crew totals 60 pilot skill. So that puts me at over 200 percent but cutoff for gains is at 200 so the rest is wasted. If I upgrade components and now ship requires 25 pilot for 100 efficiency. Crew is able to handle the increased demand and operate with 200+ percent. Is that 200 efficiency greater at 25 pilot required than the previous 20? Or are they equal? Sorry if doesn't make sense. Thanks in advance.

mishaadams198828 - the question is very good. I believe that the answer is "yes". As you improve your ship by installing modules with more Electronics, you need a better trained crew to staff that more complex equipment. You get strong dice for the first 100% and standard dice for the second 100%. Strong dice just have a higher chance of success and so are more valuable. Therefore, if you have 20 Electronics from your ship components and 40 Electronics from your crew, you're at 200% with 20 Strong Dice and 20 Standard Dice. If you are at 25 Electronics and 50 Electronics from your crew, you're at 200% with 25 Strong Dice and 25 Standard Dice -- significantly better. Even 25/40 is better. So, there is an important relationship between ship complexity (more Skill Points) and skilled crew (more Skill Points). You basically want them to go up together. If you have 20 Electronics on your ship and 50 Electronics from your crew, your crew is OP for the ship components and they need you to invest in some upgrades otherwise you're wasting 10 dice. The wiki has another long form explanation -- startraders.gamepedia.com/Skill_Pools
