Question about "Orbital Ops"

I just bought a Horizon Highliner, which comes with a Salvage Bay and Magnamech Plating. The plating says it protects from crew damage during "orbital ops", but it doesn't list salvage as an orbital op. Does it do me any good for salvage?

If the crew takes damage from a card during salvage, yes. That is an orbital operation.
