So, no, that device isn't supported by Google.
If Google Play's asset system crashes, or the game crashes just after Google Play asset validation runs then the phone doesn't have enough ... memory, GPU, GPU memory, GPU support, OpenGL ES support, minimum texture size is too small, Google Play support is blocked, Google Play Game Services support is invalid ... etc

Thank you for your time,
I've uploaded a couple of error reports through google, one with the url to this discussion as the comments. I don't believe it's the majority of the things you've listed as its a Samsung Note 3, N9005. I suppose there are two directions from here, If you could kindly take a look if this phone should run it, as it runs most of your other games (haven't bought 2 i think), as well as pubgm, minecraft, crashlands, gtasa etc. and if it really is hardware limitation, well at least you can remove it from the supported phones/android versions list.
Kind regards.

I'd be happy to issue you a prompt refund if the game doesn't work on your particular device. The hardware support for Android devices depends a lot on Google, Google Play and Android OS it is very hard to say often about a particular individual device.
If the game doesn't run for you that's bad! If that's the case I'd like to get you a refund ASAP. Just send your order number to cory.trese@gmail.com
Regarding our supported phones/Android versions list we do everything we can to work as closely as possible with Google to provide the best possible metadata that they allow developers to provide for filtering devices. Unfortunately they have some (admitted) limitations in terms of correctly filtering devices and whenever possible we work with them to improve that aspect of Google Play.
I have several Samsung and Samsung Note devices that we test with each release, and if we find any that are limited by hardware but are not correctly filtered by Google Play we will both open a defect report with Google Play Developer Support and add a blocked listing for the device. Thanks again for playing our games! I am sorry that Star Traders: Frontiers isn't working very well for you.
