Although I'm getting used to which planets are where, I think it would add more randomness if either the planets were randomly rearranged and in a different spot each game. Or we had the choice to use the original map or a random map. Also, once inside a game, if the AI houses and factions took over each other and made the map change as the game was going on. This probably requires some heavy code change or something, but wanted to throw it ot there anyway!

That would be cool. It would add either some challenge if the planets are spread out or make it easy if they were all close together.

There are a lot of great threads about this. As you play more you will probably start to see that each game does have some unique economic circumstances the the puzzle of map travel doesn't change. Random maps may be featured in some of our future releases but won't be added to Star Traders RPG -- that ship sailed a long time ago, so to speak

Cory ~ Are you guys really working on a ST2 game or is it just an ongoing pipedream \ joke here on the forum?
Just curious. I love ST1 but I'd of course upgrade to ST2 if there was really one in the works. ;D

Not a joke, no.
We have a list of features that are required in "Story Teller" before we can start working towards a beta on ST2.
The rules have been mostly written but most of the code is still in development.
