I've noticed this a few times but never to the current extent. My current ship is a fully upgraded Assault Skylift with NO armor upgrades so its base Hull 34 Armor 16. After my last battle I went to repair damage but even though the Armor button is lit it wouldn't let me repair showing a -39 value. I checked the ships stats and sure enough it is currently showing an armor value of 55/16! Is this a bug or some randomly occurring bonus? I'm playing the latest version of ST Elite. As I mentioned at the start I've seen this sort of thing before just not this extreme.

Never seen it, easy to say "it's a bug" but hard to get any information on how it happens.

Since it is the first I have heard of this bug that I can find anywhere, I have logged it into the list of bugs as #565

I encountered it once several months ago when I was attacked by a pirate. 33/17 or something along those lines. He boarded me, I died so didn't have a chance to investigate further. Blamed my phone, never logged it and thought that the next upgrade had fixed it as it never reoccured.

Thanks for the additional details, I will look into the boarding damage system but it probably is somewhere else. I've run the boarding equation tests over a million times (seriously) in the past two years and the system is configured to detect positive overflows as an error and FAIL the test immediately.
Any details help as I search for this new bug report #565

It showed up the moment the torpedoes and guns happened. The boarding was just the method of death.
