Is there any chance of getting some flame throwers or fire bombs/grenades to use in the game. One tactic I use to get away from enemies is to go down narrow corridors between buildings. When only one enemy can follow, the others are forced to go around. This has saved my low level characters butts on several occasions. It would be nice if the was a way to trap the enemy in some of these areas. Setting the ground on fire behind or in front of me could help. Just a simple wish. I will not be sad though if it can not be done, I love this game! Been hooked on your games since I came across Star Traders last year. Keep up the good work.

ntsheep - some similar weapon types are available in Templar Assault and its a great idea to port some of that tactical-area-affect weaponry into CK! We will take a look. Glad you are enjoying the game.

sas, green berets, specnaz or others special forces dont use flamethowers they use flashbangs, smoke and gas grenades to fight in urban zones - and I think that it would be more adequate for CK

Actually all of the worlds Special Forces units will and have used a variety of incendiary devices in urban combat when the mission dictated. In particular the Soviet Spetsnaz used them in Afghanistan along with chemical warfare.
Additionally a CK runner isn't a current times SF soldier but someone living in a very grim future where technology has rendered many less extreme measures ineffective. Polarizing eye implants, thermal and ultraviolet vision enhancements, automatic sound dampning are just some of the more common enhancements typical human and animal opponents are likely to have. Robotic drones will have an even wider array of sensors and countermeasures built into them.
Tossing a white phosphorus grenade into a group of security types could create havoc with the burning shrapnel and likely fires it will start and if they don't have the augmentations to cope with it will blind them at least temporarily. A Molitove cocktail or high tech equivalent can create a temporary barrier to help evade or channel opponents and nothing likes being set on fire so flamethrowers against flesh and blood opponents could cause them to retreat while high intensity plasma torches will burn through drones very effectively or at least render their more delicate sensors inoperative.
Yes there are a variety of different weapons and tactics that can be employed to win encounters but having a wider variety of options available is always preferred.

A good example, use a flash bang and any one with low light implants loses the bonus provided by them for the next combat round. Set their armor on fire forcing them to lose a turn trying to put it out. So many possibilities here. Smoke bomb for strategic retreats. I for one would find great pleasure in roasting those bleeping dogs, they drive me nuts ;D

We have been asking for this for some time. 2 things to remember 1) No matter what technological advances in warfare, there will always be ways to counter an advantage. 2) You'd still be amazed at the simple effectiveness of old tech : gasoline, rocks, sticks, and a strategic mind.
