When I try to ram enemy ships, it sometimes says that the enemy ship rams even though their AI prevents them from doing so. It said that a military ship rammed me when I tried to ram it even though military ships don't ram, and a narvadian hunter rammed me when I tried to ram it even though narvadin hunters don't ram, they torp and board. And if it was just a display glitch I wouldn't be so upset, but I think the computer is genuinly mixin up who rams who, which means more damage to my ship and less damage to enemy ship

First, please don't be upset. It is only a game and if there is even a small issue with the rules, I will fix it and provide as much information as possible.
When two ship's collide during a ram, both ships are damaged. In some cases the secondary damage to the player during a Ram attack will be completely soaked / negated by the attack or damage rolls, or the player's ship's Armor.
In some cases during Ram by player, soak by player, Gun by Computer it is possible that the text generator would create messages indicating that the Computer's ramming attempt "went wide" (missed) or "rammed her prow into X for 0 damage"
Also, some AI when running the Narvidian Hunter ship design will Ram, so that is not unexpected.
This all sounds like misinterpretation of rules of the combat text generator, I think.

It didn't say that the enemy ship went wide though, it said it hit me for x damage taking x damage. I mean, sometimes it says it went wide. Somtimes though it says it hit me. And there's no message that my ramming attempt went wide. Also, in terms of raming for 0 damage, there are times where it says the enemy takes 0 damage from one f my ram attacks, but he ends up taking damage.
I'm sorry if I sounded upset. ST is an awsome game.

X for Y or X for 0 damage based on the Ram damage rolls, just what I would expect you to see. Good news, sounds like everything with Ram is working on your device just like it is on everyone's device and on my test systems. And if it was just a display glitch I wouldn't be so upset I was just replying to that comment about being upset. Glad things are working with Ram combat, I just played a Insane-Pirate who had good success with Ram for about 15 Levels. It is effective, but risky. Depends heavily on Ship stats and good rolls. -Cory

Its a little confusing that it would say the enemy ship rammed me when the enemy ship never rammed. Does the enemy ram you when you attempt to ram it? In any case, its nice to know that there are no problems with ram. About the damage calculations though. It sometimes says that a ship took 0 damge, even though damage is taken. Not a big deal though. I was more concerned about the first thing. Thanks for your time
