Is there a bug list that's kept up-to-date? Because of the delay of the appstore, a bug could already be fixed and we just wouldn't know about it.
Perhaps even list an update and the fixes before the appstore releases it. I noticed you refer to "iST-450" or some other number, so I know you have a list yourselves. Maybe just make it public?
Here's my wish list for game limiting bugs. I think you're aware of at least some of them, but other may not...
I have an ipad2 running v1.0.3, but I haven't started a new character yet, so there might be some crossover issues...
1. Character abilities don't seem to work, and starting stats are all the same. My pirate loses morale when doing contracts against independents, and my military officer doesn't have a "special surveillance ability for contracts." I vaguely remember seeing this bug listed elsewhere on the forum, but this is a core element of the game, so I'm repeating it again.
2. At seemingly random times my ship will stop moving. If I close the app and restart, the ship will have moved one square forward (or at least is in a different but nearby space) and everything will be back to normal.
3. From what I understand there is a "Zoom Map" in the android version that shows you who controls what. Something like this is desperately needed for the ipad. I gave up on trade wars because I could never easily find areas controlled by the empires involved. Also helps when you're low on fuel but have lots of trade embargoes. It doesn't even have to be an interactive map, a static image you could switch to would be fine. These exist on the internet, but all the ones I've looked at had at least some errors (differences between ipad and android maps?). Somehow I've gotten the impression that who controls what planet can change throughout the game. If so, maps on the internet would only work at the start of a game. Call me lazy, but I don't want to have to aimlessly wander around until I find what I'm looking for, and I don't want to make my own map (especially if it will change over time). It's just too much inertia to overcome before I start having fun.
4. I thought I read somewhere on the forums that v1.0.3 was going to have a long-press popup window for each planet when on the main map, but I don't seem to have that. Was I mistaken and it'll be on the next version? That will somewhat alleviate #3 above, but would still be very time consuming.
5. Some of the games I started under v1.0.1 (haven't tried new version) don't seem to let me complete the contract that you're given at the beginning of the game. If I went to the coordinates specified there wasn't anything to indicate I could complete a mission, and if I hit "Nav" it just took me to the upper left hand corner of the map (and there was also nothing to complete there either). All of these were as a Military Officer. Some of them worked though.
6. Once a character dies, that game still stays under the roster, and I can't seem to get rid of it. Is there a limit to the number of games under the roster?
In my opinion #1 and #3 take precedence over all others, including others I've seen on the forums such as being able to play the game in landscape orientation. Get the gameplay right first, then worry about the icing.
Fun game!
