Version 1.03 - Nothing changed?

Hello,

I had posted a couple of bug reports which were cataloged as 664 and 665. When I saw the version 1.03 update description I was under the impression that those bugs had been fixed. When I loaded the update and tried the game again however nothing seems to have changed except the version number in the main menu. I then deleted and reinstalled the app. The original problems are still there.

The bugs were:
- cannot get planet information from map or set waypoints. A click, double click, triple click or click and hold all set the planet as destination but none of them give planet info.
- when I choose Status/Cargo and pick Report for one of the cargo items, the Nav button next to the locations is inoperative.

I'm running on an iPad 1. Interestingly I also applied the update on my iPhone 4s and there the cargo Nav button works fine. No info from map however.

Maybe I misunderstood what was included in the update. Or maybe i dont understand how to use the features. Please set me straight.

Hello again,

I did some more comparison between the app on IPhone 4s and iPad 1. Turns out that on iphone 4s when I press the grid button in map mode, the map zooms out. When the map is zoomed out I can double click on a planet and get the planet info. Same if I single click or click and hold. On the iPad 1 however, pressing the grid button simply centers the space ship but doesn't zoom out. I assume I can't get the planet info because the map doesn't zoom out. Maybe.

That took about a week of coding and testing to get into the Apple App Store.

Ticket 664 and 665 are in the list for 1.1.1 which is the release we're trying to finish tonight.

pops - and we thought we had left the world of crazy-device-differences when we came to the App Store! Certainly, the hundreds of Android devices are trickier, but thanks for pointing out the differences between the two devices. We don't have an iPad 1 in our test bucket, but we will do what we can to help!

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. The last version of the bug report I saw did not have the version column. Now everything is clear and I eagerly await version 1.11.

pops - thanks again! Even -we- were getting confused without the version column. It quickly became a need. We submitted 1.1.1 to the App Store last night, so it might be a week before it arrives, but it is on its way!
