I just tried to enter a stardock. In the process I ignores two ships and acknowledged a third. After acknowledging the third I was presented with the dead captain screen (this was unexpected). After pressing the button I entered the normal star sock screen.Status indicated that my health was -1. Exiting the stardock gave me the dead captain screen and this time My captain was really dead. Prior to this I had been doing some exploration on a planet and am not sure what my health status was when leaving.
I believe it's the ios 1.1.1 version, although the main screen shows 1.0.3.

That sounds like a bug, I will look into it. Logged it into our todo list as ST-693 for fixing in 1.3.1 You are correct that the main menu isn't updating for some installations, figured out why and we will have that fixed in the next release as well. I think in this case the Dead Captain Screen should have exited back to the main menu, not the stardock or main map. Do you agree?

Yes, I was expecting it to exit back to main screen. It would also be good to make it more obvious when a captain looses some health - maybe it's a case of longer notifications, but I didn't notice many messages about loosing health.
On a related note, in the roster it would be good to see which captains are dead rather than permit them to be loaded. A delete button would be good too.

Ah, found the delete button on the status information - however this still does not indicate whether or not the captan is alive. I have to try to continue my captain to discover it's state of being.
