I made an officer bonus list that includes more bonuses and at the same time is simpler/shorter than the current officer list in the help. startradersrpg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rules&action=display&thread=1400&page=5 Also I made a wilderness guide in "exploration mechanics" thread that talks more about what helps for what for explore/harvest/cache than in the help. Maybe you can put them in the help for a future release The upgrades and factions in the help says nothing not already in the game/menu. Please add things in there not already in the game/menu. Otherwise, there's no point of it being in the help. Some things I know about upgrades/factions not in the help Omni-stealth arra provides a bonus for finding merchants/smugglers for patrol Heavy bulkheads increases resist vs. Ram for crew damage Impact Sheild Generator helps prevent damage when ramming in adition to being rammed (so inkrease resist vs. Ram period, not just for enemy attack) Battle prow provies a ram bonus (either for ram or vs. Ram, don't know which) Leviathan increases resist vs. Board (don't know if its for all or just at zero range) It used to say for dreadnought architecture that it increased resist vs. Board and ram. Don't know if that bonus was taken out It used to say for batle prow that it increased board attack and ram attack. Don't know if that bonus was taken out It used to say for shuttle bays that it provided a bonus for outnumbering crew. Don't know if that bonus was taken out Sail Command probe provides a pilot bonus for deep-space (avoid encounters, accidents) but not for combat Advanced Bridge provides a pilot bonus for everything, especially combat Ancient Reactors helps for ram attack (I don't know if it also increases resistance vs) Weapon's cabinet, Spybank and the rest have certan advantages (negates signature when carrying the desginated cargo I think) Certain factions are more likely to enter certain conflicts Certain factions are more likely to give out certain contracts In my oppinion, any aditional info on upgrades should be in the game under the upgrade as opposed to in the help. The less that's in the help and the more that's in the game, the better

It is all a balancing act between too much and too little information.
Thanks for the feedback.

blackgauntlet - now hold on!! Does he not still have a fat lip? All new officers were based on their famous predecessors, including Ol' Turd Lip!

That grand ol' mustache of that new First Mate takes away any attention from possible sausage-for-lips genetic anomaly! We deserve fine looking First Mates like that!

Totally think the new First Mate is the ultimate badass. Definitely the best of the new officer art revisions but they are all high quality.
Your skills continue to grow and impress, Andrew. Totally night and day from the earliest releases of ST.
I like the fact that the spirit of the first generation officer portraits are still intact. The First Mate, especially. The dashing 'stache and gruff scowl give him a lot of character. Duty-bound, very serious, down to business, ready to distribute vudka, manage shifts and assign crew bosses.
Nice work.

Really, thank you very much for the post. The positive support and encouragement mean the world to Andrew and I. We were just chatting on the phone about you guys and how it keeps us interested and moving forward. Without y'all there is no way we'd still be in the game!

Just installed Star Traders RPG on a Nexus 7 and it was kinda creepy to see all my favorite Captains pop up immediately upon opening the game. Not as creepy as seeing my recently visited web sites (this forum, facebook, our bug tracker) from my development machine show up in my "web history" in Android Chrome. The Cloud ... it kinda creeps me out, but I can't turn it off
