I did suggest a Crew blender ship upgrade where you can use crew "liquid" as an alternate supply of fuel, but Cory didn't buy in on the idea. Aw.

I never even thought of something so vile and I do vile pretty well. I'm taking notes. About dying the most: Aliens for me. Heck I fought them with Full Crew, proper upgrades, just about every anti alien officer I could think off, enough weapons to take down the entire Noble House Clans, at the same time, and I STILL get killed by the mofos. Mostly I die by either boarding action or Ram AGAINST aliens. I haven't died against anything else for months. rabidbite

"This tastes like shit," Crush Rabbit said as he spat out the food served in the Carrot Stick's galley. Rabid Rabbit arched an eyebrow. He'd seen Crush munch on four day old carrion without missing a beat. It did help being able to turn off your body's taste buds. Being an infesting Narvidian viral entity had -some- advantages. Crush caught Rabid Rabbit's look, "Yeah I DID that, ok? I still tastes like shit." "The temp cook can't be -that- bad," Rabid said with disbelief. He grabbed a fork and used it to taste some of the grub on Crush's plate. He spat it out reflexively. Rabid stared at the fork. For a moment he could picture the plastic thing melting into goo just from contact with the stuff passing as food on Crush's plate. But, Rabid Rabbit hadn't survived through the centuries without being stubborn. He turned off his infested body's taste buds and took a second bite while Crush lit a cigar. Rabid Rabbit spat it out again, "I've never tasted anything so vile in my life." "Who'd thought someone could make something WE couldn't eat," Crush grunted. Rabid noticed Crush was actually chewing on the cigar to fight off the meal's taste. "This deserves special attention," Rabid Rabbit stood up and headed for the kitchen. "How are you going to handle it?" " Just get me a blender." rabid

Reminds me of an old saying my Grandpaw used to say, (no lie, he did)
"You know it tastes bad if it makes your neck hurt... ... From trying to lick your butt to get the taste out of your mouth!"

This gives me an idea for another poll -- What does your Crew die the most from?

The amount of crew that I lost through exploration would be a daunting number to say the least. I think the population of a mid-sized town would have been lost in the 5 months where my favored captain type was Explorer.
In saying that, I boosted the textile industry of the local Javat planet because I had bulk-orders of thousands of red ensign shirts.

If Cory finds the blender too over the top (the kill joy!) how about a system that takes moisture from plants in your hold?
