But what I'm asking won't prevent cory from doing other things. Its a title change. It couldn't take more than 5 minutes. I'm not even saying to have any bonuses from it (for now), just a title. For rep bonuses, that'll be an entirely different thread

"Hyperion Legend" sounds awsome. But ST is an awsome game either way

Well said, Slayernz. Thanks for the post. +1 _______________________________ "Issue the standard Cadar greeting, Ensign." "But sir, that's one of our allies!" "I know that, Ensign. We're confirming that the treaty is still in effect!"

While I agree with Slayernz, about liking to see more 'big new things' instead of little tweaks, I still love the fact that I continuously get updates to the game. I don't mind if updates become less frequent (the current rate of about once a week is mind-bogglingly amazing,) and Cory focuses on other stuff, but it would not be the same game without a few new features being added every now and again...
That's not me saying I don't want Cory to have a life*, no (WORK, CORY, WORRKK!!! PROGRAM ME MORE GAAMMMEESSS!!) - it's just that getting regular updates is one of the things that makes this game truly special for me.
*(Just want to emphasise this)

<Opinion - please feel free to disregard because I am not speaking for Cory at all> .... It isn't hard to implement more titles, but what would you prefer ... Cory spending time tweaking every little nuance in an existing game (eg adding additional titles for supendously high/low ranks), or Cory spending time either doing big changes to other games that provide large benefit ... or even Cory spending time coding on Heroes of Steel and potentially even putting digital ink to digital paper on the fabled Start Traders 2? Every line of code that is added to STRPG is a line of code that could be invested with more return in another product. For me, the current Star Traders is very mature, and there are fewer and fewer significant changes that either have been done, or are in plans. I wouldn't say it's a perfect game (no software is perfect for every person), but it's probably as close as you will find in many Android (and even desktop games). </opinion> <Opinion - please feel free to disregard because I am not speaking for Cory at all> ....Since all I play is STRPG, I want Cory to spend all his coding time making MY game better! </opinion>

Fine, I get it. No new titles are wanted.

slayernz, I wasn't saying that - I'm really looking forward to HoS and the progression of CK, I just don't want ST to get a big stamp saying 'FINISHED' and to never be updated again!

@jr8825, Swami, Starfixer, and all. I just wanted to agree with you to greater and lesser degrees. None of what I was saying earlier was meant to construe that there should not be any further work done on any of the games that the TB's develop, let alone specifically Star Traders.
It's the activity in this forum that provides motivation and innovation for these two individuals who put in significant numbers of hours above and beyond their day jobs, so don't slow the ideas down, but do keep in mind that there are only two people (and Martin from time to time). Their Sock Puppet minions are still in training, and tend to code poorly at the best of times. In order to focus on progressing the more gestational games, some balancing acts need to occur.
If you've garnered anything about the psyche of Cory and Andrew during these months and years you have been reading this forum, you'll know that the games will continue to be an evolving work for as long as (a) Cory breathes, and (b) there are active users who play the game. Even with condition "a", I am thinking that since Cory is part God, breathing might not be necessary.

Thanks for all the support everyone. It is a balancing act, and we are glad our veteran community on the forum can understand that and appreciate.

The next update tweaks some of the titles, adds some awesome new features for traders and continues to lay groundwork for the next set of Contract and Officer types. We love ST and I keep playing it because I keep adding features. That's not going to stop
