Can I get some more details first? Like, are they going to be a continuation with extra bells and whistles; or maybe a completely different gaming playstyle; possibly a prequel?; what's going to change? what's going to stay the same?

phantom - consider this more of a "genre check" or "gut check." We don't plan to provide a lot of details and make this a in-depth voting process. We aren't promising to follow the votes of the crowd (its only 30 ppl), but we are very interested to hear why your interest lies. Lots of others in the thread have voted for something and stated what they think it might be in the thread.

Voted for ST2. I'm hoping there will be some revamp of the combat system. As it is now, it's just mainly feeling like I mash the Fire or Board buttons until I win. Perhaps too much is calculated in the background and I don't feel like I'm in control (or even aware) of what's happening. I just saw the screenshot for ST:BF and it looks intriguing. Having a battle map or any sort of improved graphical battle interface would make the battles more interesting IMO. As a semi-side note, one of my favourite games is Sid Meier's Pirates, and the major reason I love it is for the combat. It's just a great feeling to visually see your ship choice/upgrades making a difference in combat. Directly being in charge of manuveuring your ship, positioning shots and avoiding hits just makes the whole process feel much more involved. Of course, I realize this is probably beyond the realm of a mobile game, and may not fit your game/stats architeture. Have you guys played it before? Would be interested to hear what you guys think!

athios - I know Cory loved Pirates! and I think you'll enjoy some of our near-term game projects very much! Our experiences with the new Heroes of Steel engine are going to allow us to continue to bring more visually engaging games to the market as well.

Awesome! I got a more finance oriented question for you and Cory, if you don't mind. Seeing as how HoS's kickstarter was a relatively successful venture, are you two thinking of using kickstarter to fund future projects? When HoS comes out and we can get even more word of mouth around you might start to see the amount of people donating to your work start to jump more and more, after all.....

johndramey - after we have successfully delivered on Heroes of Steel, we do plan to return to another KickStarter project. It's a great platform for buzz and to help push our funding envelope.

fallen awesome, looks like I'm going to go more in to debt haha. I can't wait to see HoS and also see what you guys got in store. I really think that kickstarter is a great idea and that you guys should stick with it, every project successfully completed will boost the funding for your next project that much more!

Agreed. We will not make the mistake we did with Heroes of Steel to keep an upcoming project a secret. As soon as we know the project and date that it might launch, we will start letting everyone know so that you can prep for the campaign!

I can see an Xcom style game set in the Star Traders universe.
On the original planet space craft just starting to be used. Planet is attacked prompting formation of a new group of soldiers.... the Templar knights to protect mankind.
Build your ship as in star traders and try to shoot down aliens.
Then on a Cyber Knight style cityscape you have to hunt down the aliens in turn based strategy akin to TA.

The two Star Traders options, of course. They both stem from your best game (and, one of the greatest on the market).

ST 2 top pick for me.
A tablet version app sold separately frome cell phone at higher price to support more options, bigger fonts, and all around usage of the larger screen. The higher memory capacity and processor speed of all tablets could give you allot more room to expand.
Really like the previous mention about Sid Miers Pirates. Has anyone played "Galactic Civilization" by Paradox. Good hybrid. Stategic drills down to tactical, the only problem is the tac screen is beautiful, but by then you are only an observer.
Having allot of money tied up in Amazon products taking advantage of the Kindle HD is highly desired.
After what you did for 3 bucks I would gladly pay $20 for ST 2.
