Had a recent combat where the stats showed enemy ship at 0 hull but I lost because the same combat turn their attack reduced me to 0 engines. Wouldn't have been so annoying if they hadn't stolen all my cargo even though their ship was destroyed.
Not sure how the game calculates who wins in cases like this but would be nice if it slanted in the players favor or at least in favor of the ship that still had hull integrity.
Also any way to adjust the enemy AI so they can't take more cargo than their ship can hold or give players the ability to destroy excess cargo when winning combats?
Finally how come so many of the enemy ships have little to no water/fuel? Playing on crazy and I'll be way out in red space encountering multiple enemies with 0 fuel.

Just noticed that starfixer already made a thread about losing ties sorry.
Oh and for the record my loss came in red sector space against a Rychart Pirate so neither side should have gotten a bonus for being in home territory.
Like Starfixer said though, engines means you can't maneuver, hull breach means your dead...

Like Starfixer said though, engines means you can't maneuver, hull breach means your dead... Sure. Just have to be extremely careful making changes here. There are over 12,000 different paths through the code and if I botch the change we'll have 50,000 people e-mailing me. The risk is that I try to resolve the occasional issue with ties going to a non-optimal ship and instead break something core like cascading victory conditions. Not something I'm willing to do fast, especially because it's so rare.

I know this is a very infrequent occurance and would much rather you take the needed time to get a good solution rather than rush something that causes many more issues. Keep up the good work and give the sock puppets a bonus.

I think the man just explained why it's not that simple.
