will age of pirates have any mermaids or sirens? will there be any vampires? vampire pirates to fight or perhaps officer? also might be fun if there were mist or fog areas, maybe tsunamis?

Sirens could be interesting. I would imagine they would be a foe that you should run from as soon as you have contact with them. Perhaps they would have some sort of ability increase every turn. So if you thought you could destroy them in the first five turns you might stand a chance, but the more turns go by the more powerful they become until you are seduced by their song and you succumb. Perhaps the penalty of losing to Sirens would be loss of turns as you suddenly wake up months later, with all your rations spoiled and your pants on backwards.

how would a ship with sirens be challenging? it would just make a lot of noise and annoy you during combat.

I like the tsunami suggestion. Once town damage is added, they could be economic dissasters for towns, and exceptional opportunities for merchants and smugglers delivering goods. Or pirates and knights looking for easy targets.

It would be cool if there were Sirens in the game, and you had to make an intelligence roll to see if you were able to avoid them.

I think just look at the game's inclusion of supernatural beings and extreme weather ... I think they show we're already including this and will add more in the future.

I don't think the current supernatural beings and extreme weather are very obvious though. I have yet to actually notice anything like that, though I have "heard" of them through rumors. I think I might have passed through a region that had heavy storms but that's only because I stormy artwork in a port. If I hadn't docked I would have never realized based on whatever effects it might have had.
Just my 2 cents, I think that they may be a little too hard to find or their effects too subtle to really notice at the moment.

Exactly -- we've absolutely shown they are in the game -- we are including these concepts and will be adding more in the future.

STORM OF THE CENTURY! by the way, any chance we might eventually get something like a hurricane that moves between maps? I'm imagining trying to outrun one haha. And seamonsters will be fun muahaha |
