Ok, I know that (in theory) the more you pay for a hotel, the better rested (longer you go before getting exhausted) you are.
How does this compare to safehoues?
And do some things make you tired faster?
I just did a usual cycle (mostly) from bottom east (fennian) to bottom west (los V), and by halfway back, my char was exhausted. seems pretty quick to get so tired.

Hotel resting is difficulty depedent, plus variable based on the fee you paid. I want to run some tests with this (#CK-2183)
Safehouses have a flat rate (added ticket #CK-2182) to fix that.
Taxis burn time pretty quickly, so should not be used for crossing less than 2 squares. Travel by Thopter, boat, or Brave Star train is considered instant. Different Encounters burn different amounts of times.
I always keep Crammers on hand to stave off Exhaustion.

That helps some, though you'd think taxi would burn time more slowly as you're getting somewhere that much faster, and in comfort (ie. if you've got to go 5 miles.. would you rather walk it (1.5-2 hrs, and be somewhat tired if not very tired by then), or drive/take a taxi (10-20 min depending on traffic/lights, and spend little energy. perhaps even catch a cat-nap)?

Seems like 'getting through the checkpoints' is the major job for taxi drivers. The driving seems minimal.

Taxi services are a highly regulated and highly restricted service. Cat-nap? Cyber Knights don't take cat-naps in taxis. You've got to watch your six, chummer!
