I'm reliably informed that most people who comment on the forum using their Android device use the $2.99 ProBoards app. Do you? I'm having some issues convincing myself to try it. I would never publicly accuse them of breaking their own site to encourage app sales, but it's hard to imagine a web page re-skin app for a site I only read one forum on is worth as much as, say, a Trese Brothers game. I'm willing to be convinced by the wisdom of the collective, though! Is it fantastic in some way, or is it just the good old forum, except working?

Lt. Hathaway - from the previous thread, it seems like people who use their mobile for ProBoards use the app. I was guessing at the numbers from the poster counts. I wouldn't count me as reliable I never use mobile, 100% laptop. Great thread to gather the collective wisdom. Is it worth it folks?

I use the Chrome app on my phone, both because it syncs with my desktop and laptop for bookmarks and whatnot, and because it has never had an issue with these forums (for me anyway).
If it didn't I might have considered the proboards app but I still probably wouldn't do it for the simple sake of what you've already said, I'd only be using it for one forum, which I would probably just wait until I had my laptop or desktop to post with.

I use Dolphin browser on my phone and have the "recent" threads as my home page That way, the first thing I see when I open up my phone's browser is ST forums

Last time I read the reviews of the proboards forum app, people were saying that you could not moderate using it, nor add file attatchments. Has this changed? Assuming the reviewers knew what they were talking about, this would make the whole thing pretty useless for me.
The best expereince I get is using chrome on my tablet, and firefox/opera on my laptop. My phone cannot run chrome, so I use Opera there, and it is less satisfactory, as proboads detects that this is a mobile and sends me to their mobile pages, and Opera respects this. Chrome doesn't, which is why you get the same pages as you would get if you had been using your laptop -- which is what you want.

I use the default browser on my phone and have no issues. Or I'll use my desktop if I'm sitting at it. I'm not paying $3 for an app that does the same thing I can do for free, and just as efficiently.

Amazon really confuses this site.

Sounds like so far ProBoards App has 0% usage on TB forums! Sorry Lt. Hathaway - seems I over-estimated I use it when I'm on mobile.. It's definitely not the best, but when I am using my tablet or laptop for other work I like to browse via it. The app it self is decently organized it has a various amount of features, you can change your homepage and bookmark things. All in all it's a simplified app, but it works. Quite obviously it doesn't pretend to be anything greater but it does what it is meant to well. That said I am going to check out Dolphin tonight.
