Once again I find myself struggling with getting app updates on Amazon--some may recall similar struggles of mine with StarTraders. This time I somehow successfully updated from 1.1.11 to 1.1.13, but I'm writing this in case I struggle again. The Amazon App Store showed version 1.1.13, but my Kindle persisted in 1.1.11 for a while.
I tried pressing the Sync button on the main Kindle settings dropdown bar multiple times, but that didn't work.
Then I followed the the official Amazon Instructions. I went to the App Store on my Kindle, selected the menu at the bottom, and pressed the App Update button. I saw two other apps that needed updating, but not HoS. I went back and checked HoS on my Kindle to be sure it hadn't updated and it was still 1.1.11. I went back to App Update and updated the two apps in need of updating. Opened them. Went back to App Update, no HoS.
Then I went to HoS on the App Store and opened HoS using the orange Open button. Viola! 1.1.13. I don't know if that was coincidental.

Sorry for the trouble -- hopefully we'll be stable here soon and the updates won't have to be daily! =)

No worries, this one is NOT a Trese Bros issue; it is some combination of an Amazon/user-impatience issue. I want to figure out the quickest way to get an update to propagate from Amazon to my device, so frequent updates works to my advantage.

It's coincidental-- the sync button will work, but it takes a minute or two. Had the same problem.

tenbsmith Officer GeniousSame here. I thought it wasn't updating on sync, but did not account for the time it takes for sync to download then install. I synced today and am on 1.1.13 Amazon seems to be running one, or two releases behind. But the releases are coming out very quickly.

Yup, just checked Amazon for the same reason-- I'm thinking it might be up tomorrow on Amazon, but I'm just guessing.

If you are an Amazon user, we'd love a comment or review. Really hurts our ranking to only have 1.

This morning I turned on my my kindle, went to kindle store, read about free-app-of-the-day, searched for HoS in App Store and saw it had updated to 1.1.15, then opened HoS and it was on 1.1.15. Next time I'll see what happens if I don't search for HoS in the App Store.
A couple of short reviews probably would help HoS on the Amazon App Store.
