Will the other episodes features other landscape or is the game always underground? I haven't finished episode 1 yet so I don't know where the heroes are heading but I hope you got some new tiles...

The map tiles will changes over regions. Actually going above ground in the world of Steel is a major risk, so that would happen rarely. You will generally be underground.

Will there be a backstory to why everyone lives underground, or how plants can grow there as the story goes on? There have been several clues as to why already. Especially as to the plant growth. Check out the two farming holds nearby Oskahold.

I think the initial release lacks a lot of the information you would have gathered if you had followed the KickStarter. The quick intro with the fading text doesn't contain info details for new players, just tries to set the stage. It's on my list to inject more of the world details that were shared over the last 10 months into the game itself. Stay tuned.

I love the story... very strong and engaging. The prologue did make me worry early on though that there was going to be too-much story. (Had to be there though I'm sure) Episode 1 is better. Story is broken into well spaced gaps.

bobsoup - heavy background info like that is going to be spread around optional dialog in towns and with citizens. If you want to learn the backstory, go to. Otherwise, the underdeep awaits.

Explaining incrementally across chapters engages most player's attention and keeps them coming back for more- very comicbook-like.
