Monsters and Mayhem (table)
Players' Guides: Heroes and Monsters (Tables) provides additional information you may find useful on a variety of topics.
Andrew and Cory are preparing an extensive user manual including calculations and prefer not to publish it in pieces.
Thousands of calculations and tough decisions must have gone into making this wonderful game.
How on earth do you plan for 64 character levels with new characters being created all the time! Glad I'm not writing that manual.
While we wait you can find a wealth of good tips in the Forum.
Calculating Damage is simple rule of thumb found in the secret archives of the high druids who led our people to safety at the shattering.
(many thanks fallen)
You can get a glimpse of some of the thought behind creating and Monster Scaling in this thread.
One of my personal favorites is the Don't Forget to Pre buff thread.
The search box in the Proboards UI is a powerful aid to search for key words for quick access to other helpful tips.
I have found the real nuggets in the gold mine come from the players themselves and their generous advice on the techniques for having fun.
Regarding this Table:
The monster levels scale with your character levels, so that is why you see gaps in the sequence. The table listings
are based on what level my party was at when they first encountered a particular type of monster. More to come in Episode 2.
HP is the minimum number of Hit points a monster has and can be significantly larger.
Don't forget Monsters only need 1 AP to attack. "Res" stands for magic resistance. "Dmg" stands for damage.
Contents of this table were recorded while playing game on Normal Difficulty setting.
Note: You can see the Shaman come in a wide range of characteristics including buffed, and vermin rot casters.
===> 01/14/14 Note; Monsters have been tweaked and tactics are getting much better.
I will be reworking this table to reflect the stats changes, and add brief comments on monster tactics.
You will never see a Level 1 monster again.
5/18/2014 The Monster stats have changed so much since January the table has been deleted. During this time I've been collecting
all new data including the new display fields Cory and Andrew have added. The new table will be published as soon as possible.
Thanks for your patience and support.
