Ive been playeng ST RPG Elite for a while now and I keep hearing about the Templars in spice halls and rumours and things. I also noticed that there are ships named Templar Smuggler and stuff. Well i think it would be cool if there was a Templar class to start off with, so we could play as the Templars. At the very least, I think that there should at least be an update where the Templars become more importants somehow, like maybe they have one plannet for their faction, (playable of course!) Because I think it would add a lot of play value to have that asspect of the world, instead of just the factions we have now. Just a suggestion but i think that would just about be the coolest thing ever!

jester - have you found the Templar Officer in Star Traders? Also, have you tried the game on Google Play called "Templar Assault"?

The Templar Smuggler kinda reinforces my theory that they have quite an elaborate intelligence set up throughout the quadrant. Whether they make use of a secret FTL comm network or use informants, you know they have to have something in place to investigate specific rumors.

Even a faux templar class that just had benefits specifically against aliens and for boarding would be cool. And maybe a fringe planet that has Templar ships you can only access if you have the Templar Officer.

Don't know about a Templar class, but I would like templars to have more of an influence in star traders besides just in the spice hall. Prehaps a game rumor involving the templars like "There has been a major quarentine operation at [wilderness planet x] by the templar fleet and all Explorers are temporarily banned from accessing the wilderness zone" or "There has been a major blockade strike by the templar fleet against [planet x] and all ships coming from and to the urban ports will meet special resistance" or "The templars are fighting xenos in [coordinate x] and are paying lots of credits for help from outside star traders' or something. Or maybe a templar headquarters or at least a templar base. Or maybe a new enemy Templar type.

Whether they make use of a secret FTL comm network or use informants, you know they have to have something in place to investigate specific rumors. It would be either slightly foolish or incredibly sneaky to name your smuggling ship after the faction your smuggling for... Classic reverse psychology maybe? Either than or the templers ain't got nothing to hide Would like to see more of them tho.

A little truth in advertizing. Probably has jettisonable encapsulated and armored cargo compartments and a hull shielded against the effects that artifacts and electronics emit. Templars are always after that junk.
