Any chance updating ST to use amazon game circle. It is amazons way of cloud syncing game data and achievements. That way those of us that have the amazon version can exchange their achievements between devices. Ive unlocked quite a bit on my evo3d but i have a new device and rather than to have to spend a lot of time reunlocking everything or paying for the cheat it would be nice to just be able to pick up where I left off. Unfortunately I believe it does require permissions android.permission.INTERNET android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and that kind of goes against your no permissions belief in coding. Here's the url explaining how to set it up in case you don't know it. developer.amazon.com/public/apis/engage/gamecircle/docs/setting-up-android

Thanks for the link -- Amazon has fantastic documentation, don't they? We're already well underway on Amazon Game Circle integration for Heroes of Steel RPG. Unfortunately, the way Android is structured by Amazon and Google, permission changes drive massive uninstall rates and poor ratings. We will not be able to add permissions to any of our existing games. Amazon Game Circle may be added to the iOS version, however, I have gotten negative feedback from iOS users about the Amazon experience. Here is the URL explaining how it works in iOS: developer.amazon.com/public/apis/engage/gamecircle/docs/setting-up-ios

Unfortunately, the way Android is structured by Amazon and Google, permission changes drive massive uninstall rates and poor ratings. Well that's unfortunate. Is it cuz certain reviewers are whiny little bitches? The ones that see a permission change and never read the changelog to see why the permissions were changed and assume you are part of some grand conspiracy to get at their personal information. Because they are so important. Or does changing permissions open up the potential for an exponential increase of bugs that drive ratings down due to poor performance. I know in the amazon app store there are people who deliberately drive down ratings simply because of certain permissions and never bother reading the description that generally explains why an app has a certain permission. I am actually surprised that the introduction of iap to purchase the cheat didn't cause a nose dive in ratings. "What?!? I have to pay for the app and buy things in order to play the game. These greedy developers need to be sent a message..." We know that's untrue but how many apps has that happen to. So I understand your fear. That is something you may want to add to the description that the in app purchase is to purchase the full achievments unlock (a much requested feature from users). Iirc you were really hesitant on doing this and had a survey for this feature. Of course you are one of the few programmers that offer a fully playable free game with no ads and no permissions. That's one of the reasons when I played the free version I immediately bought the elite version. It kinda sucks that in order for amazon users to be able to transfer game data and such it requires permissions which complicate everything. I do appreciate the fact that you've looked into it and are planning on using it on future games.

We're really keen on the configurations that don't require Permissions -- Google Play Services, for example, doesn't require permissions in it's current iteration. Amazon may be going that direction too, eventually, as they have done with the IAP library-service they publish.
There is a lot of painful truth in your post, but I am just happy to have people playing our games and leaving the occasional positive review. We'll get there!

Is there a way to "Box" integrate or something to move your game info up and down that way? (Undereducated former programmer talking here, haven't touched non-excel code in two and a half decades.)
