I've noticed that upon failing miserably on an Assassination contract, I've been given another chance to throw myself with fewer supplies/runners/health into danger. I feel that this is a little silly. I struggled to survive the first time, using everything available, so why on earth would I want to try again when I clearly can't complete this contract? Why would the faction I'm working for send me back out after failure? Why would the faction I'm working against even let me attack again (I'd imagine that they would at least beef their security or move my target)? I don't understand this. And I don't really want to cross the enemy territory to cancel my contract (I would assume that my defeat would spread rumors everywhere).

Officer Genious - can you describe the issue in a procedural fashion? What happens in what order?

I think she is saying that she was defeated during a Contract that did not expire, even with the death turns, and now she has been respawned and doesn't want the job.

I am of the opinion that Cory Trese has hit the nail on the head.(Not that my opinion is the one that matters, it's Officer Genious'.)

Right - to state this clearly, if you die in combat, you should have your jobs canceled.

I'm thinking just the job that caused you to die.

If you fail a job it should auto cancle.
For example: if some knight turned up and iced half my team befor we took them out I would move, get new team be more paraniod and tell my employer.
This may lead to reprisals.

Swami - all jobs may be better, because you are still being asked to rush to these remaining jobs. You've lost time in your death, you've moved potentially far away, and you are injured, low on stuff (see the original report). Asking you to go after the original deadly contract is bad, asking you to hurry to any job is also not helpful ... you should be given a free slate to regroup, recoup, and then get new work.

Fair enough I'm on board with that reasoning, it's been a while since I actually dealt with respawns in CK.

I'm a bit late but this also happened to me yesterday. I was trying to assassinate a KH target for the Yakuzas and my two runners and I got completely wasted by KH security drones right on spot... I know, Yakuza's connectors are still V1 ans I'm obviously looking for trouble going on KH turf to kill a bloke, but after I woke up in some back alley's trash, I still had time to go back to see the elder and explain him that I had to cancel my contract. I made sense out of this situation but in the NBZ, with its high level of surveillance, I think he knew this was a failure before I even woke up. Thanks for already having taken notice of it and making the game more and more perfect everyday !
