All,
Please chime in with other praises / critiques.
I think these guys work hard but need feedback as they spend most of their time developing and not playing.
My perspective comes from a person that has very little time most days.
Note all the trese brother games i have played are done from a phone. So some difficulties may be due to this or lack of time.
I have 2 games that I really like.
Star Traders elite
Cyber knights elite.
They are both very polished and have a good flow to them.
I tried the templar assault game but this type of game really isn't my cup of tea. So i can't speak much about it.
The heroes of steel game w/ vincent and ep.1
Have not purchased more. Reason being the intro starts out good then gets murky as you enter into the krellin deeps after the first mini boss battle. The path or goal as to which way to go isn't clear. It seems to be wandering aimlesly clearing out ratkin hoardes. I don't really like the ratkin. The pace and story were good up to this point. Have not had much time with it and i see that once you reach the first town. It supposedly gets better. Have not had the energy to chug through that far.
There needs to be an in-game maps to give you some sort of sense of the goal/ time it will take to get through an area.
age of pirates elite seems to not be as polished either. I think the game needs to have something on the map that marks the location of the jobs you take on. Having to go back and forth between screens to figure out where your task is, is rather annoying.
With limited funtionality via cellphone/ touch screen the controls should be a little more intuititive.
General improvements that would be nice on all of the games.
All games should have an "instruction" booklet. Describing basic game play with limited tactics for successful beginning game play.
Reduce the links on the game pages. One link can be good enough to go to an advertisement page. This includes the twitter facebook etc. Message could be as simple as please click link if you would like to see other trese brother games or follow us on social media. Having so may advertisement links to games is annoying. Especially ones you have already bought.
Not trying to be a downer. I see great potential in all the games, just looking for a little more polish/user friendliness.

Crimson - thanks for the feedback. A couple of of points. 1) We play our games an astronomical amount. As we use an app on our mobile device and PCs to track all the expenditures of our time, I can verify that we play a lot. We like customer feedback, and we prioritize acting on it. 2) Heroes: Sorry that you don't like Ratkin ... as they are the primary enemy in E1A1 ... you aren't supposed to  3) Heroes: We have a world map on our feature list, we will eventually add it. 4) Why worried about the game links on the front page? Why spend time on the front page? Play the game  More seriously, we are working on a better solution for this after the recent stuff we've added to Heroes of Steel. 5) The feedback is all pretty general. If you'd like us to "prioritize your feedback" (see #1) and act on it, I'd invite you to start some other threads specific items!

fallenI have taken specific screen shots of my plotting issues in age of pirates. When you go to your commisions there is a plot button but doesn't seem to make the ship do anything. Also on the world map where you see destinations there is no way to auto plot your commision locations. Ie. West acadia 1,1. When playing the merchant story with the dying son. You go on a trading root. Go to the first town sell hemp. Say thats all the time you had to play. Close game. Come back. No log for next step. Ie. What goods or even what town is next in the list. Go to commissions or ship log and neither have the required information. As far as hos goes. I think we need localized maps with a goal pointer to the end goal. They don't have to be detailed and could blacked out until the area is explored. Ie false or blocked areas. There should be button like that includes the world map that is being planned for or even a way to switch between the 2. This would go along way into fixing some of the issues with the game. I do not like having to rely soley on potion to regain spirit and hp's so many steps taken should restore some of this naturally. But maybe this can be done through special equipment. Ex. Dragon warrior. However you start in the middle of a dungeon. With no access to town for a while. I have played many rpgs final fantasy, dragon warrior, breath of fire, etc all using text. But they all have random battles save/ heal points that are not all conscripted set battles. You have access to towns to base operations from and can grind or explore as you want to. The randomized battles lead to excitement as your not sure when and where a battle will happen. HOS has more the feel of ogre battle, final fantasy tactics, ect which is not a true rpg but one of strategy. The rigid set of skills and forced set of party skills make the game less interesting to me. I read the review of the pc version and can' t help but to agree with alot of its comments. However maybe the pc version would maybe play better. With such limited battles above information about beginning character development should be a little more explicit in an instruction booklet tied to the game. The forum should not be the sole source of help in the game. You can easily nerf a character picking the wrong beginning developments. Looking through the wish list section I can see by reading through the lines there seems to be some sort of restriction in what can be done to this game. So anything that can be done to make the game more free flowing would improve things. My case in point if you look at star traders, cyber knights, and even age of pirates they all have much more freedom to develop /time move about than HOS. Best Regards, Crimson

The "Plot" button will give you a toast next release, to let you know that it has done what you asked. All you need to do is return to the map and press "Go" =) As Captain, it is your job to read the Winds, Ports, Rumors and Wars -- to select that route from your location to the destination is the skill that will let you excel on higher levels. I have no hope of programming all the subtle emergent strategy required to "best route" multiple regions. Anything I create will be a pale approximation and damage the overall game play. I know, having played the game with it turned on. That's pretty good feedback, I might be able to do something to improve that a bit, if you are right about it. If you work on your strategy, I think you will find (like I did) that the game's design easily supports both Potion and non-Potion play. It does take some work -- and playing on lower difficulty levels will really help! I agree with a lot of the feedback we get about the start of the game -- it is a challenge that focus on the game's core combat and navigation mechanic without driving you into a bunch of shops right off and wasting time. I've played all those games too, probably as much as anyone on here. In Heroes of Steel, look for the brown circles on the map to recover your entire party's HP and MP.Thanks for playing my games! Hope you give Star Traders a shot ... it's a popular one with over a million downloads and a very positive rating from the people who play it. =) |

My thoughts were more along the lines of all the other sea trade / adventure games i have played. Port Royale 3 (ps3) and New Horizons (SNES). Not sure of mechanics of sailing is my cup of tea. Yes if i see a big storm i will stop auto move and move around it manually or go to port. But management of winds is beyond wanting to manage. The fighting or trading is more my focus. The only dislike I have on any TB game is for the damn traps in HoS! The rest of the game is so tactical and brilliant; to stumble into a trap and then have to check every square throughout the next corridor is just tedious.
Everything else for me is spot on, across all five games.

Better, some traps are actually avoidable if you notice where the traps are placed... |

More seriously, we are working on a better solution for this after the recent stuff we've added to Heroes of Steel.
