I can't find a way to see how many deaths a team has had, except for having one of them die (not a recommended method for retrieving data). It could be shown on the "Saved heroes" screen (select Play from the main menu) where you select which team you want to play.
It might also be nice to have the number of deaths for each character listed. Maybe on the screen that lists the character's skills and talents. There would be room for it to the right of the XP bar.
