Krakens + Ice Demons effect on Reputations

I heard often from others that Ice Demons and Krakens kills will have positive reputation effects on the nations etc on that sector. Definitely not the case recently.

Sector [3, 2] Stone Coast. Just south of the island where Ruesland's naval fort Sten Nevis is. First I ran into a Thuthagot the Unliving, killed it by boarding. 2 squares later I ran into Rostrak the Maw which I quickly finished off by boarding as well. Before the 2 encounter I have 44 reputation with Cadari and -40 with Ruesland. Couple moves after the end of the 2nd encounter, Cadari went up to 110 while Ruseland remains at -40. 

How does this work? A bug maybe? I expect some substantial gain from Ruesland as well? Cory or Fallen should explain.

+ Scores where Reputation is less than three (3) no reputation Award is given

What about those reputation scores that are less than 0 at the encounter? My -40 with Ruseland did not move at all after those encounters.
