Can the group from Blade Muse be better? Yes.
Having finally completed EP2 A1, I have further refined what was started in Blade Muse EP1. Vincent in particular has gone from a rare gem
to a finely cut highly polished diamond. So here is the printer check list for the next group I'm starting.
Vraes, Selen, Kyera and Vincent are now in harmony in this fugue of destruction.
What difficulty are you playing on? Easy. Should any game played on easy be dismissed?
(This paragraph is the same as the one you'll find introducing Blade Muse so feel free to skip ahead.)
Using my double sided printer I keep the plan next to my PC and just using a pencil make check marks as each character progresses.
What you choose to level is just as important as when you do it. This plan helps me visualize how to interlock each
Characters Talents, Skills and Attributes to provide the best synergy. Level 9 is one example of character coordination.
Notice how Vincent, Vraes and Selen each arrive at +2 MP at the same time. I use the SP column to remind me of how
to budget SP usage. There is often a sweet spot where the cost in SP can produce diminishing returns. As each character
progresses they can afford to spend more SP on a higher rank or choose a different talent.
Vincent Plan
Mission: Enemy suppression. Reduce Number of attacks and damage per attack. Neutralize Archer Accuracy
EP2 A1 Level 25 Totals: 12 Attributes, 20 Skills, 16 Talents
Allocation: +10 Int(16). +2 Dex(6). +10 Conjur(13). +10 lore(12) Starts with Conjur(3) Lore(2)
+6 Flash Freeze(6). +8 Frigid Air(9). +2 Charged Speed(2).
Duration: Flash Freeze 21 turns. Frigid Air 21 Turns. Charged Speed 16 turns.
Checklist:
Continue into EP2 A2 Adding +4 to Lore to bring it to 16 extending Charged Speed(2) to 19 Turns. +3 Conjuration to 16
extending Flash Freeze(6) and Frigid Air(9) to 24 Turns.
Add +1 Talent points to Frigid Air to bring it to max of 10 provides -13 Acc, -72 dmg for 42 SP.
Then add +2 Talent to Charged Speed(4) to get the +3 MP.
Kyera Plan
Mission: Banish Evil. Heal protect party. With improved monster stats many are showing a weakness to holy damage.
Because she can get Holy Retribution at level 3 and accuracy has been much improved it's time to finally kick some booty.
Banishment turned out to be a holy terror for the forces of evil.
She really needs to find a +1 MP item to perform at her best because the rest of the group has talents that do it.
EP2 A1 Level 25 Totals: 12 Attributes, 20 Skills, 16 Talents
Allocation: +10 Int(16). +2 Knowledge(8). +11 Invocation(14). +9 Conjuration(12). Starts with Invocation(3) Conjuring(3)
+3 Warders Shield(3). +2 Myshana's Tears(3). +4 Holy Retribution(4). +1 Purifying Breeze(1). +6 Banishment(6)
Duration: Warders Shield(3) 20 turns.
Checklist
Going into EP2 A2 Add +1 Banishment(7) to get 5x5 cloud 53-128 H dmg cost 70 SP Do Not increase it any higher.
Add +1 Conjuration(13) for complete coverage of all the targets in the cloud.
Add +2 Invocation to bring it up to 16.Always try to use Banishment after enemies have been attacked with Flash Freeze and or Punishing Blades makes it much more effective in damage.
Now pile on the Talent points into Warders Shield add +7 to get max 10 for +6 Parry, +10 Dodge Group Bonus.Add +3 Conjuration to bring it to 16 to extend duration to 24 Turns.
Warders Shield: I cannot stress enough the importance of the role Dodge plays in HoS.
Selen Plan
Mission: Fast Melee Fighter. Critical Hit Specialist. Dual Wield 2 1H Blades.
Main Attack: Punishing Blades followed by Frenzied Blows. Enhanced by Dance of Shadows.
Preferred Weapons: Main hand Small Sword 1AP 5 Acc, 5 Parry 21-26 dmg. Off hand Sai Sword 1AP 3Acc 4 Parry.
Would like to find a second Small Sword.
EP2 A1 Level 25 Totals: 12 Attributes, 20 Skills, 16 Talents
Allocation: +10 Dexterity(16). +2 Constitution(7) Toughness(7) +42 HP.
Talents: +4 Frenzied Blows(5). +7 Dance of Shadows(7). +4 Punishing Blades(4). +1 Quicksilver Defense(1)
Skills: +13 Blades(16). +7 Lore(9).
Duration: Dance of Shadows(7) 17 Turns.
Note: She did reach 557 HP and 320 SP in Blade Muse
Checklist
Don't forget to give her the Bone Finger ring you get for rescuing young Braeys +1 Acc +8 dmg +5% Crit.
Move on to EP2 A2 with the following 2 goals.
1. Keep Alternating until Frenzied Blows reaches 7 for +11 Acc, +24 Dmg 10 SP, and
Punishing Blades reaches 6 for +10 Acc, -18 dmg, -22 Armor, 14 SP.
2. After that raise Dance of Shadows to 10.
Vraes Plan
Mission: Fast High Accuracy Melee Fighter.
Preferred Weapons: Any 1H Sword and Shield. (Remember to buy the +7 shield in Bruenhold)
Primary Attack: Savage Sweep(3)

This Vraes wants a weapon with high accuracy and smaller damage range than a hammer. It is better to get consistent hits with a
1H 2AP weapon than getting fewer hits with a 2H 3AP weapon when averaged over the length of the game. "Death by a thousand cuts".
Going into EP2 A2: add +6 Natural Mastery(10) taking it to the max gives +5 Melee Accuracy, +11 All Melee Skills for 64 SP.
Eventually and likely sometime in EP3 A1 you need to add +2 to Burst of Speed(7) to get +4 MP +6 Dodge for 58 SP.
If this doesn't work, buy him the heaviest armor you can find, march him to the edge of a cliff and jump into the deepest part of the ocean !
