Maybe out of left (cyber)field but has anyone considered adapting this into a tabletop board game? Been thinking a lot about it and it's really fun in my head...

This is a 'Puter version of a tabletop game already. Cory Trese & fallen wrote the base game in their youth(not like they're old now).

I would love to play it! And tabletops are still alive and kicking:
This one recently raised $1.3 million on kickstarter.. just sayin'...

Looks like a sweet project!
At this time, our hat is firmly in the rim of mobile / desktop gaming. With just two of us, trying a project in another genre completely is a time-split we can't support.

Slightly off-topic, but I'd love to actually play a tabletop game but A: Good God, they're expensive for a first-timer and B: I'd have no one to play with (and nothing's sadder than beating yourself).
Wait, I sense a business opporitunity... *slides out a slide door and scribbles frantically in a notepad*

With a bit of imagination and a lot of writing and a smattering of Photoshop and desktop publishing skills it would be pretty easy to adapt any number of tabletop RPGs like D20 future, space based wargames like Xwing (there are others out there), or grid or hex based ground wargames like Mecha Front, Heavy Gear, or Robotech Tactical Assault into a Shalunverse game. Unfortunately what it needs most is what its probably most lacking- fluff exposition. Great idea, but yeah There aren't enough hours in the day for the brothers unfortunately.
Aft it dawned on me what forum I was actually posting in, I'm throwing D20, GURPs, Shadowrun, and Cyberpunk RPG to the list.

Wait, I sense a business opporitunity... *slides out a slide door and scribbles frantically in a notepad* Something disturbs me... I do know that, in America, tabletop RPGs are most often miniature games with a squared map and stuff, but here in France (... and most of Europe I believe ?), we merely use character sheets, dices and pens. We may look like beggars, but a good old map hand drawn on a printer sheet stolen from a classroom seems quite enough to have a good CK-ish battle set. The only expensive investment would be the game manual but I suspect CK's wouldn't cost an eye if someone would care to develop it, especially if released in .pdf (no printing nor shipping cost, just download the manual, download a bunch of friend and POOF you can play). Writing a game manual is NOT easy, especially if you have to develop the whole universe in the process, but CK seems quite done to me, so the only work there is would be to put all that in order.
