Also worth noting that the real version of Star Traders RPG has 2 Elite only Professions, Spy and Zealot ...

Right, still love the game, I suppose the same thing is going for the drones and dronemaster profession

What about a vet place that lets you rehire hunds killed in combat.

New to the site but not the game but I like the above users idea of a place to buy them but how about if the knight can recruit these dogs right off the battlefield if he has the right set up.
Also would these dogs earn exp? As I feel like they would take up runner spots to work and in the long run would become obsolete compared to runners with proper time put in.
If that the case these dogs are gonna need exclusive equipment or benefits to make them worthwhile unless you just plan just to have a knight have a dog as his weapon in a 1vs1 then you could st stick with upgrading the knight himself but I think dog army cooler
Also hes a idea for your drone knight- if you buy a implant or whatever clever when a drone is destroyed it causes a explosion that nearby AOE damage

rockso - have you tried the Hunds? They take up a Runner slot and do gain XP. One of the Hunder special abilities will be to try to recruit the Hunds on the battlefield. The Hunds already have exclusive weapon and armor and grant bonuses to jobs like Threaten.

No I haven't tried them out since I didn't know they were available to hire where could I pick one up?
Also are there different versions of them for hire just like there is on the battlefield?
Also another thought about this knight is that the hund and knight gain a bonus the closer there are to each other
Or you could have the dogs maul a enemy which could have the same effect as a brawler grapple

rockso - if you check your navi-map, the dog heads shows up for the breeders. There is one in Fennian, Streets, Los V and now Blue Ox territory. Currently, one type of doggie for sale.

There should be a shock weapon of some sort for their jaws though.

I'd like it if there were some breeds that are uncontrollable. As in, they're really powerful, with lots of athletics and brawling points, but operate entirely on their own.

at the very least i'd love the hunds you adopt to look different on the battlefield than the ones attacking you. they're my preferred hire so i now have 3, always. perhaps they're all cybernetically-enhanced clones which i guess makes it okay, but it's really difficult to keep track of who's-who during a fight..
also, if not already suggested, some weapon option so they can also capture rather than kill a target?
also, maybe for pups with a Hunder, some ability to sprint? i.e. consumes more AP but allows them to move double-distance?
finally, a roll-over option? it's very cute when my dog does it. kidding...

Great ideas! We will get the Hunds you can purchase differentiate soon with some new art! A shock-mouth would also be very good, certainly.

It would be nice maybe one of the upcoming ladder rewards for a big corps could have the addition of a hund or drone ally somewhere in it. I think one of the corps would have a drone, whereas street or something would have hund, although I dont know whether streets are done or not. Anyway my thoughts. Seems a cool ladder reward.

I've been using a hund (Dogmeat) in my two man brawler team and its slowly learning the ropes after I got it a weapon and some elite armor.
Now we just need some elite weapons and some implant options in the future for him?
Also had a Idea for the pup...Warpaint! instead of putting implants in the dog there could be a blue ox guy who will color swap the dog and at the same time give it a implant type boost

How about nanoready collars that use the nanoready medpaks. Maybe an option to chip your dogs so you can release and recruit them in backroom. A pound could work for rescue of downed dogs and recruiting "new" ones.
