Not trying to be a bear...
I have been quiet about the g+ and ladders, but I have zero interest in them and the automatic push is a little too much. Please reverse course. Causes the game to get stuck especially if no inet connection. Just get a waiting symbol. It will finally go to the game after a while.
At least offer us an option to disable it.
Thanks, Crimson

Agreed that you should be able to play the game without being logged into G+ ... without the notifications that you can't get an achievement because you aren't logged in. I'm a person who really enjoys achievement/challenges, but can completely understand the need for people to play in a disconnected state

Crimson - thanks for the feedback. I disagree that we are heading the wrong direction. From the stats we can see, Achievements and Leaderboards are used by a very large segment of our players, and are having a very postive impact on our rating and rankings. We put a lot of work into getting the Achievements API to work that way, and look forward to future enhancements. The default Google behavior is to stop the game and ask you to log in every time. Hours of engineering reduced that repeat login request to a popup. We'll keep grinding.

completely understand the need for people to play in a disconnected state Just to be clear, connection is not a requirement. If you are disconnected, the Achivements / Leaderboards are cached in Google Play and later sent when you connect.

fallenLast release was better than now. I have to hit cancel several times. A chance to opt out in the options screen where it can be disabled it would be great. It even wants me to make a new google account. I am not saying that its the wrong direction for everyone. The game hanging up for it is not nice. Great work on the game improvements. I like the flexibility added in the clans/ syndicates.

fallen, I am not suggesting we can't play the game in a disconnected state, but rather, I was just wanting to ensure that it's a "quiet" experience when playing disconnected, free of any toast messages saying you aren't connected. Let any achievements and leaderboards be updated when you do connect up, but if you are logged out, keep it quiet

slayernz / Crimson - thanks for the feedback. We'll keep working on improving this experience! In my opinion, its far better than the experience that the Google API pushes already. But, like all of our work, we have to prioritize and keep grinding.

The pop-up has now been removed. We have fixed "the curse" you speak of Crimson for new users, but those already cursed are going to need a little extra time to free.

fallenHey thanks for fixing this. I tried it and it works nice. The whole interface seems to run faster on loading. Crimson

I thought I might find a thread already about this. I am an anti-fan of google+. I am a huge fan of your games and your "low to no permissions" standard of quality.
Personally, I feel that requiring google+ use to enable achievements goes against this standard.
I understand the difficulties and limitations of programing. I get that it is popular to a majority of people. I just don't want to use google+ at this time. I don't like the way the information is used or can be viewed by third parties.
I would enjoy an achievement list that would be viewable for players who wish to not use google+, if possible or pragmaticly implementable. Just my $0.02.

Tenebrous Pirate - thanks for the post and feedback! We're working on ensuring people can play the game without any G+ at all at the moment and to get some of these folks out of an evil sign-in loop.

Thanks Fallen. I hope my feedback didn't sound too critical. You know I love you guys. I just wanted to voice my opinion so that you guys were at least aware that some of us don't enjoy it as much as all of those that do. Please resume with your awesomeness, and have an awesome day.
