Unfortunately. I don't know a way to counteract them.

I could spend half my day every day issuing DMCA takedowns, but it doesn't really stop them. Piracy is a part of life you have to accept as a creator, and then accept that you can beat it by making quality games and getting enough real fans that they don't ruin you.

That is true. I might have downloaded them if I had not became such a fan. Now I am waiting for more surveys so I can support the development. I believe AOP is next on the list.

Well now I am a highly devoted fan. Which is why I bought the games on my tablet (including the in app purchases) even though I don't use it. Now I am buying the games on my phone for added support.

Wait a minute what are the requirements for the takedown things? Can the forum members do such a thing?

Unbelievable. I'm sorry your living is being pirated by these scum bags.

Lawyer Cat advises that you have to be the copyright owner, or an authorized agent of the copyright owner.

Oh I see. Well if it helps I have redundant copies of several games.

Wait a minute what are the requirements for the takedown things? Can the forum members do such a thing? Yes, you have to be the copyright owner. There are times when Cory and I will issue these, but only when not so busy. Our Google alerts report new sites popping up daily, so the better strategy is to focus on winning real customer and not fighting pirates. Anyway, you won't stop the pirates.

Ah well. If I had the requirements met then I would help...not like I have any social life anyway.

I will say that before I got hooked, I played a pirated version of ST 1.8.something. :/ (I bought all your games on multiple platforms and I'm on the alpha, so no need to worry about the money lost from me ) I'm a forum member that'd not like to be recognized, though I'm sure Cory Trese and fallen could easily identify me by running some IP checks.

@anon - this goes to my comment about "make good games, don't try to fight the pirates." If the games are good, then people come on board as real fans. Trying to stop the pirates from posting the games is never going to work. Making games that make fans ... that's something we seem to be able to do We've had a number of members admit the same process, so we're not taking any offence.

Oh please have a little guts. The only one of the games I downloaded illegally was cyber knights. I admit that. However that was the first game I bought (and i bought it on 2 systems) when I had money.
Sorry about that, crazy headache and sunburn.
