There are a few times in the game when Farsight flashes blue, indicating no enemies, when a triggered fight occurs next to or near the targeted area. Conversely, there are a few spots where Farsight flashes red when no enemies are present or triggered. Is this a glitch of just an aspect of the game?
For the former, in the Baron's Keep, a few hallways flash clear (blue) only to have an ambush waiting. I wrote that off to the game mechanics and a range limitation on the skill as I only have level 2 Farsight.
For the later, one such place is the south-west torture room on the Officer's Barracks. Casting Farsight before opening the lock door indcated the room had enemies. However, after prepping for a fight and unlocking the door, the room was clear. I remember a similar issue on the Ratkin levels and the Cult tmeple but don't have exact spots.

This is how Farsight works at this time. Based on where you cast it, it will warn you about an active AI in that area.
Sometimes you may be very close to an AI, and still miss it. Going 2 tiles farther and you'll hit it.
There are always limits and sometimes the effect just didn't range enough to be activated.

Cory, let me get a clarification here.
I just played through the Talia scene - and by the way, love the new dialogue if you go there after the cult - and there was a spot where farsight flashed blue. I walked to a spot about 2 times away from where I had *clicked* to center the farsight area, and an encounter started. I use this talent a lot, and I often see this.
Is that expected operation?

mushroom - the Talent is working as expected. As Cory noted, you need to hit an area where there is an operating enemy AI. It is very possible to miss it while being very close. Your sight range (from a moving hero) wakes up enemy AI, so the combo means that you may have these unlucky shots like you mentioned occasionally.
