If you've ever wondered how to say classic Trese Brother's words like Cadar, De Valtos, Ryethin, Vraes, and all the rest -- here is your answer. No more "Well, Cadar is like Ca- froM Car plus ..." Nope, all the answers, right here! www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqZMFDuegWs&feature=youtu.beI believe that you are miss-pronouncing the name of the great "Caydar" Syndicate. Only Steel Song would spread such lies. Wait a second.... I think you're onto something there ... looking closely at a previous post from our great creator ... Hissrad once wrote: Ok I have to ask, why do people dislike the steel song clan so much? And Andrew responded ... hissrad - everyone is jealous of how awesome they are? Clearly, our creator is a Steel Song sympathizer, and as such, would happily stoop to besmirch the honor of Cadar (Kay-dar) I'm surprised that fallen hadn't considered that the "C" was soft, making it "Sa-Dar" ... or even "Sad-ar" or "Sad-er"

The biggest influences are - Dead planet - Alien rumor - Red Zone - Large number of artifacts onboard your ship.
Yes, having officers and full cargo and a bumper sticker saying "I'm open to Alien Experimentation" helps, but do the four above on high enough difficulty, and you'll do pretty well at finding something that wants to probe you in ways that make you want to avoid sitting for a while.

Sails over 40, hiiiiigh pilot skill, pilot officer, high morale. All of this makes your fuel consumption really good.

The community challenge would actually just be to get people to play one methodology exclusively one month then the other methodology for another month. Comparing the two results would just be for interest sake - but the challenge would be really to measure the "Boarder Prowess" of the forum, and then the "Gun Bunny skills". The great function of the community challenges was to get people to try playing in a style they were not familiar with. Up until the pirate challenge, I never played as a pirate. Same with merchant. In any case contributor would probably join in and for once I'd aim to beat him.

I have tried and tried and tried to try boaarding. But I continually find that it is easier to blow the engines out in one or two shots than have to go through the whole messy approach of having to wash the blood and gore off my feet and stuff. I'll give it a go. Maaaaaaaaaaybe we need to set up a community challenge one month where we all have to do the boarding path, and highest number of victories within 10,000 turns wins THEN we do the same but with gun-bunny style and see if the kill rate is the same

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it. Try to keep in mind that this is non-canon, though. It's more...slayernz-canon. Yeah I'm noticing that lol. I can't help it if I've been here from near the beginning of the big bang (aka, the creation of the Treseverse). I've had a looooong time to voice thoughts on Steel Song - and if you babble it long enough, some people actually listen!

Fuel consumption is already in the ship designer .... scroll to the bottom and you get: Speed, Agility, Red, Green.
With pilot 190 and a ship that juuuuuuuust meets the minimum requirements (without ship upgrades) nets me 0.67 WF consumption in the red. With my NR2, fully upgraded (with a water recycling plant ), I get 0.59 in the red.

Whilst it is possible to get WF consumption to very very very low levels going through red, I don't believe it's possible to get it to zero. Then again, I've never really tried. Getting zero consumption in the green is really easy. My modified VolksWagen fuel efficiency and emissions sensors report that all the time. In fact, it sometimes reports that I get negative consumption.
I'll try and design a ship that is the most fuel efficient possible and see what happens ... but I'm guessing that even with 200+ pilot, squillions of sails and not much else, you'll still have fuel consumption in red zones.

whitegauntlet clearly, you just don't appreciate fine fashion. Rychart hats have long been held as the pinnacle of sophisticated cranial headware design, not the least because uuuuuuusually, the head is the highest point on the body, and the hat adorns the head. Steel Song are exempted from this discussion because the huge lump that makes up the typical hunch back is actually the highest point on a Steel Song body. Of course you could put a hat on the hunch as well ...

Oooookay - Cadar faction is a military faction. They actually do make the best quality torps in the game. Also, there are some aspects of their ships that show their preference to torps - eg the Cadar shuttle only has torps for weapons. Overall though - Cadar captains don't torp much more than other factions. It's more a forum thing Steel Song dislike - that's really just me. I started it ... I'll perpetuate it ... and I'm proud of it. Steel Song ships terrorized me when I started out (damn steel song pirates). I swore a blood oath that they would pay - and I'm still cashing in

mishaadams198828 cool. On Demanding, you're not going to be in too much strife if you do a mistake or three. You don't have to be friends with everyone. The fastest way to get XP is to do combat - or surveillance in a spy war and blockade in a solar war. If you only listened to a small amount of advice before going "I knooooooooow what I'm doing old cat, just let me play ..." then: 1) Pilot. Focus on pilot and keep it at least 200% of your current level. More if you can manage it, but never let it drop too much below 200% Don't start being an aggressive gun bunny until you have at least 20 pilot. 25 better ... and once you're at 30 pilot (level 15 or lower), you're pretty much unstoppable on Demanding (subject to #2 below). 2) Ship. A ship with decent engines to hull ratio (EHr) is critical for gun bunnies. 2:1 ratio is the minimum that you are looking for. Sails are useful for efficiency - they don't haaaaaaaave to be 2:1, but if you can get at lest 30 sails, or even better, 40 sails, you'll notice a difference (30 and 40 offers tiny boosts to efficiency). 3) Guns and a few torps. I'm going to offend every Cadarian here by saying torps are not always a great solution with a gun bunny. Get to close range and just shoot at engines/decks a lot. Torps are crap at close range, and if you've got good pilot skills, you don't have any issue with maintaining close range. 4) Learn the conflicts. Know if your friend is in an alliance with an enemy you can't go shooting up that enemy. You have to play nice. Also, if your friend is in trade embargo with another friend, you can't go and buy/sell anything at either exchange or you'll just make them angry. 5) ... nope by now you should be diving into the game a bit more and ignoring me

I don't really like tuna. Salmon on the other hand ... mmm Salmon is much betterer. It was as easy as typing "tuna" in-to the search box, and scrolling down until I hit one of your posts. Cats don't mind tuna salad. So long as the tuna salad contains tuna. and nothing else. Tuna is a good option for Cats - but not that canned cook stuff. ewww who would eat cooked Tuna? Knowing fallen, he'd pronounce Tuna "Ton-aye" Busted. Nope - no contradiction here. Cats - general - like Tuna (not cooked Tuna tho - ewwww) Slayernz - specific - doesn't like Tuna. Well not as much as Salmon. Ha ... I was specifically general! Or Generally specific? Ooorr ... General Specific.

mishaadams198828 most of my useful stuff is probably a year or three old - that was when I had a post to cat-pic ratio of about 5 to 1. Let me know if there are any other questions you have. I'll find you the answer, or at least sound absolutely convincing as I make it up Just kidding - I won't make it up. I'd be thwapped around the head by Cory and Andrew if I made things up.

Meh Cadar Flagship isn't such a good ship. Go for the Devaltos one - comes complete with your grandmother that you can sell for a profit. The Steel Song Flagship is made out of styrofoam peanuts, which is somewhat of an improvement over the normal Cardboard construction material they use because Styrofoam is waterproof. The Thulun flagship is okay - but you're paying for several hundred cubic meters of lace trimming. The Javat flagship is the only ship in the game with a built-in drill instead of a nose cone. Of course the Rychart flagship is modeled after a large hat.
