Fourth Horseman more crew = higher water consumption ... you want a lean crew to get you around efficiently, but not so much that they are literally drinking your range away. Rule of thumb ... crew should roughly equal engines + guns. you can get a way with a little less, but don't need much more than that unless you're wanting to chew through water As for torps - the Jango doesn't need torps. When you're a good pilot, the Jango will mean you can gun-bunny to your heart's content. If you're really good, the Flag of Devaltos will be just as good and that hasn't got a 2EHr. In terms of screen shots - I upload the images to one of the websites I maintain - so am lucky enough to just link to them

You didn't circle the cigar on the table by Loki's arm. Maybe Wolverine's cigar? Awesome picture though - gotta love that level of detail

You can see your turn count, but it's not part of the main play interface. You need to go back to the main menu, and open up the roster. Under roster you can look at the captain record and see the number of turns played Each turn played = 1 week of game play There are 52 weeks in a year, so if you don't want to drop out of main game play, Go into any hall of records, and go to "Captain Score" Scroll to the bottom and you'll see "in the x years of your long career, you have owned y number of ships". Multiply x by 52 and you'll have a good indicator of the number of turns played. In one of my captain's I have been playing for 610 years. 610 x 52 = 31720 turns. The game date is actually 667.47AE. That means I've had another 47 weeks on top of the 610 played. Therefore 31720 + 47 = 31767 turns, which by chance matches the screenshot above

The Thulun Honor ship is a very nice rank ship. It's one of the most accessible good quality ships around, and with the right skills, will be almost as good as the legendary Jango for all-round awesomeness. It would be great to nab Cory's simulator to see how your captain would fare against one of my established captains

I torp you for being friendly with Steel Song. I know I know - wrong thread. Nonetheless, Steel Song are a complete waste of quadrant space. The ONLY good thing they have going for them is ummmm ... ummmm ... ummm ....

Cadar Poetry
Shall I compare thee to a torp, For thou art more round and shiny With a smile that explodes more readily Thine legs are like finely crafted void engines And thy heart is a perfect payload of love and affection, Just like a torp. Just like a big shiny explosive torp.
At that point, the Cadar captain starts drooling a little at the thought of a big shiny explosive torp.

Yes it is, it's a hidden menu. YOu need to go to options, press the following words. You won't get a response while you do it, but it will enable invasion systems ...
"Full" from "Full Screen Game", then ... "Orientation" from "Screen Orientation" "Operation" from "Hide Operation Notifications" "Long" from "Long Faction Notifications" "Explore" under "Hide Operation Notifications" "Disable" from "Disable Map Background"
then "You" under "Experience Notifications Minimum" "Officer" under "Short Officer Notifications" "Uniforms" from "Enable Cadar Uniforms on Captains"
Yup, that will do it

Good thing for Steel Song is that their cardboard ships deform a lot more than fero-armored ships, so deep space repairs after a typical loss is easier. Also, cardboard is much easier to obtain Typical Steel Song ship ... Note the stars and planets painted onto the roof? It's a) for Steel Song navigation and b) so Steel Song don't panic as much when a chunk gets torn off during a torp strike

Avoid the alien until you're ready to face the alien ... and being ready to face the alien is a whole lot different to facing a stoopid Steel Song captain Okay so the Steel Song captain and a Xeno might look a little similar (due to cross-breeding), but the Alien is a lot tougher to shoot down Pilot helps a lot, but you also need to prep for boarding if you're a Xeno hunter. Boost Warrior then go hunt

Fooooooooooound it! The table below shows "GAME Level". That is, the base difficulty level that the game works at based on numbers of turns that have passed. Cory has designed the game to get trickier as you move from early phase (sub-1000 turns) to mid-phase (1000-10000 turns) then end phase (10000+ turns). If you're a level 3 captain playing at turn 400, at Insane difficulty, you're ahead of the game curve. If you're that same level 10 captain playing at turn 5000, the game expects you to be at level 24 and acts accordingly. Turn | Basic | Normal | Challenging | Demanding | Hard | Crazy | Insane | Impossible | 200 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 400 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 2 | 600 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 3 | 800 | 3 | 3 | 3 | 3 | 3 | 3 | 3 | 4 | 1000 | 4 | 4 | 4 | 4 | 4 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 1200 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 6 | 1400 | 5 | 6 | 6 | 6 | 6 | 6 | 6 | 7 | 1600 | 6 | 6 | 7 | 7 | 7 | 7 | 7 | 8 | 1800 | 7 | 7 | 8 | 8 | 8 | 8 | 8 | 9 | 2000 | 8 | 8 | 8 | 9 | 9 | 9 | 9 | 10 | 2500 | 10 | 10 | 11 | 11 | 11 | 11 | 12 | 12 | 3000 | 12 | 13 | 13 | 13 | 13 | 14 | 14 | 15 | 3500 | 14 | 15 | 15 | 15 | 16 | 16 | 17 | 17 | 4000 | 17 | 17 | 17 | 18 | 18 | 19 | 19 | 20 | 4500 | 19 | 19 | 20 | 20 | 20 | 21 | 21 | 22 | 5000 | 21 | 21 | 22 | 22 | 23 | 23 | 24 | 25 | 5500 | 23 | 23 | 24 | 25 | 25 | 26 | 26 | 27 | 6000 | 25 | 26 | 26 | 27 | 27 | 28 | 29 | 30 | 6500 | 27 | 28 | 28 | 29 | 30 | 30 | 31 | 32 | 7000 | 29 | 30 | 31 | 31 | 32 | 33 | 34 | 35 | 7500 | 31 | 32 | 33 | 34 | 34 | 35 | 36 | 37 | 8000 | 34 | 34 | 35 | 36 | 37 | 38 | 39 | 40 | 8500 | 36 | 36 | 37 | 38 | 39 | 40 | 41 | 42 | 9000 | 38 | 39 | 40 | 40 | 41 | 42 | 43 | 45 | 9500 | 40 | 41 | 42 | 43 | 44 | 45 | 46 | 47 | 10000 | 42 | 43 | 44 | 45 | 46 | 47 | 48 | 50 | 11000 | 46 | 47 | 48 | 50 | 51 | 52 | 53 | 55 | 12000 | 51 | 52 | 53 | 54 | 55 | 57 | 58 | 60 | 13000 | 55 | 56 | 57 | 59 | 60 | 61 | 63 | 65 | 14000 | 59 | 60 | 62 | 63 | 65 | 66 | 68 | 70 | 15000 | 63 | 65 | 66 | 68 | 69 | 71 | 73 | 75 |

That Cadar Response flow chart was created back in 2011 or 2012 ... took a while to work its way up to the surface of silliness I have a bit on my plate right now - stoopid work, but will try and do something during my down time. That'll be October! Yikes, so far away. If there is another Cadar Enthusiast who can put something together, I won't say "stop" though
