Thanks fallen . If wiki is right. You also designed it to allow the player to ransom Nikolai, (50K?). Much better option than fighting a legendary bounty hunter. Really appreciate that.

What is the quickest way to get Nikola's Freedom story started? Nikolai's Freedom story must be completed to Unlock Diplomat starting profession. Does anybody know where to navigate to trigger it?I'll be creating new captains whose only goal is to unlock the Diplomat (ignoring all the other stories). No other interestsother than fuel, repairs, and crew costs. Would like to minimize losing ships and captains just to find the story location. Thanks

Well done! Thank you. In my 1,000 hour plus time (steam and non-steam). I have avoided ship combat whenever possible. I always seek out missions likely to produce ground combat, (xenos excluded).

How about a sticky announcing Thursday Twitch sessions? I didn't know you were starting them this early.
I think the no-tile idea is a real breakthrough. Tiles can break the spell of total immersion. Not making this photo realistic is very important to me, glad you decided to do it this way.

The wiki indexed pages for STF which pick up changes as they occur.
Are you planning to do the same thing with Cyber Knights?

Enemy Intelligence by DifficultyWe've made some tweaks to how much difficulty effects enemy ship, crew and Talent selection. In this case, we've increased the strength of lower difficulties (Basic, Normal and the corresponding levels of custom difficulty) to make the AI a little less cohesive and focused in these builds. Thank you from the staff at the blood soaked advanced medical bay.

Reminds me of old west movies. When the two cowboys step away from the bar and one says "Draw!". Crew combat is my main focus. This feels much more realistic/real time. Thank you I'm also a big fan of avoiding ship encounters, loving the new dampners.

Thank you! There are quadrants you must pass through on a regular basis to complete missions. When all I want to do is transit through a neutral quadrant, I don't have to worry about adding more negative rep every time I'm passing through to get to another quad.

Bravo!! Great step forward. Running diplomat missions will make it easier to save up enough credits to experiment with Carriers.

I just realized I misspoke in my first post. I wasn't referring to a talent "Smooth" but a trait "smooth" which is the profession trait. The talent listed was not changed. Cool. Makes Smooth one very nice trait. I have a Merchant, Diplomat, Explorer Captain. So if he gets the smooth trait, I'm hoping it will stack with Merchant talent Cordial Invitation. Thanks for the clarity +1k

Cool concepts, added +12 Personal Rep as a flat bonus. Re-balance Merchant's Cordial Invitation to compensate for Diplomats change to Warm Invitation? The Reputation bonus used to be a unique Merchant talent called Cordial Invitation. I support the change to Diplomat's Warm Invitation. But now the Merchant is left behind. Cordial Invitation does not get a flat rate rep bonus, nor a price discount. Early in the game a +12 flat rate is a big deal. When a Merchant buys a new contact why not Current version Cordial Invitation | Receive up to your Negotiate Skill in Reputation bonus with a new Contact when buying an Introduction |
New modification? Cordial Invitation
| Receive up to your Negotiate Skill in Reputation bonus with a new Contact when buying an Introduction. |
| Gain a Charisma% chance to learn about another contact from local faction.

contributor Adding pacifist story lines, separate from game unlocks. Working on some ideas, more later. Inspired thinking! +1
