There are 3-5 possible crafting results for each mundane weapon, armor and shield. Whichever is most like the tuning item will be the crafting result. If the 3-5 crafting possibilities have no similar magical properties to the tuning item then it be a random result. No tuning item is always random.
I'm trying to be as accurate and translation friendly as possible. I hope I am helping.

Anything with yellow text has additional magic and therefore crafting will not work.
Mundane weapons and armor only. You may add an item such as a cloak, ring, boots etc to improve your chances of getting the magical property you want your shield, armor or weapon to have. A +acc or +fire item will increase your chances of an item with the acc or fire respectively.

If you're missing with your ranged attacks, acc is better, ranged or standard acc, not melee.
Ash will improve both acc and physical damage done for all subsequent attacks on the ashed targets. Anything that curses the enemies dodge will also aid acc with fire bolt.
Base damage of a spell is physical, dice roll is the range. Magical damage is rolled as a single dice per magical type. So + 16 fire means a d16 is rolled against resistance and elemental resistance both. Adding 8 more fire would make a single d24 for fire damage. Physical top range is also rolled in weapon attacks and +dmg gears.

Can't camp while in combat.
Some maps have let my party leave while in combat, many don't.

Laranda at the library. "Ravenna in the Thirteen Daughter..." s/ ...is the Thirteenth Daughter... Also the sentence containing "His twin blades" didn't seem to parse right... Unless you mean something I don't understand.

Head taker's boon and words of the holy bond do not appear to work, they don't show in effects screen at least.

That's rough... but yeah I've had the same thing happen.
Great Vrotta spines? (3ap tks) or whatever also craft into another type altogether.
Below are the TK crafts I've gotten, assassin and great vrotta turned into one those - sorry I've not kept perfect track of inputs.
...throwing knives... Flat Knives: 2ap, 15-24 dmg, 6 acc, 2 parry, +1 mp, +10 ice, 3% crit, +3 stealth, 4% sp drain.
Throwing Knives: 1ap, 12-35 dmg, 6 acc, 2 parr, 3 range, +1 mp, +ice, +8 earth, 4% crit, +4 stealth.
Segmented Knives: 1ap, 25-46, 8acc, 3 parry, 3 range, +1mp, +16 lit, 7% crit, +16% crit dmg.
Vrotta Spines: 29-76 dmg, 8 acc, 5 parry, +4 fire dam, +20 lightning dam, 8% crit, 4% sp drain.
Flash Knives: 1ap, 45-84 dmg, 11 acc, 4 parry, 3 range, +22 ice, 5% crit, +5 stealth. 1ap, 37-72 dmg, 10 acc, 5 parry, 3 range, +1 mp, +22 lit, +16% crit dmg. 1ap, 37-70 dam, 11 acc, 4 parry, 3 range, +1 mp, +120 hp, +22 fire dam, 78% crit dam
Serrated Throwing Knives: 1ap, 45-90 dam, 9 acc, 4 parry, 3 range, +1 mp, +16 ice, 6% crit, +6 stealth. 1ap, 41-86 dam, 10 acc, 4 parry, 3 range, +120 sp, +16 fire, +16 holy, 6% sp drain.
Flayer Spines: 2ap, 35-114 dmg, 12 acc, 4 parry, 4 range, +1 mp, +120 hp, +24 dmg, +74% crit dmg. 2ap, 37-114 dmg, 12 acc, 4 parry, 4 range, +1 mp, +22 ice, 5% crit, +3 dodge, +5 stealth.

The southern most chest in ruined platinum was empty too. Looks like a fight was supposed to be there but nothing spawned for me. I'll test more later... Nice staff for Vinny btw.

If we're talking about c# primarily and 2d consider Wave Engine and possibly Duality. Yes, Xenko (formerly Paradox) and Unity are known for their 3d cross platform chops but both have 2d abilities. Actually Wave Engine has 3d too (with physics in both cases), but I've seen it recommended most often as a more 2d focused, lighter on system resources, alternative to Unity. Unity is definitely the industry leader, but hasn't always been great for 2d, but they continue to add further 2d support, so I don't know where they are at on 2d now as I haven't seen recent reviews. They may have closed the gap in 2d buildability in the last year, but dunno. I do know every 2d game built on Unity is less likely to play on my aged iPad 2 -512mb of ram and Wave Engine based games play better in cases I've seen... Edit: Nez (atop monogame), Atomic Game Engine and Flatredball are all possibilities too, as well as any other engines with c# bindings/plugins. I currently think that flash engine is better than unity 2d for 2d games, but I don't feel like using them, maybe AGE or Flatredball, but I have to see what they have to offer By flash engine, do you mean action script based?

Unity has a 2D mode. I would definitely suggest not discounting it. I am not sure why, but for some reason box2d is more popular than 2d mode for unity Isn't box2d a physics engine added to other game engines..?

I recommend sites like, www.gamefromscratch.comIt's nothing but game development tool news, simple tutorials and game engine overviews. Choose an engine that has the features and languages that's easiest for you to grok first ... if you find hard limits to it later on you can goto a more complete engine, or possibly roll your own features, whichever makes sense. html/js based will be slowest generally but the most universal, then custom script based ones a degree faster, but less universal, finally a c language based will have the most multiplatform challenges but often the best speed. Some prototype on the slower, easier to code languages and once they find more explicitly what they know they want/don't then they aim for better program performance. Just find what works for you.

WOO-HOO!! about to get the update now for the hard part - do i continue what i'm doing now, or jump straight into the new stuff... decisions, decisions... Quick question though fallen : you said: "as well as story arcs that result in Legendary Items for both Kyera and Vincent" - did you mean Kjartan rather than Vincent? you can already get legendary stuff for Vincent Vincent was told to return at a later time.

Sorry for my inglish but how I use WIll , I'm relly ,need understen this For player defense: Will raises resistance for all magic damage - works like armor/toughness but for magic. It also defends a % against curses. For player offense: Will raises the base damage of spell talents when those talents are used in combat. I hope I have written that clearly for your understanding.

Boost-in and respec are a one time purchase on mobile.
Respec allows one free respec per character per game, but you can still use 20 moonstones to respec a second time if you have acquired that many moonstones thru play.
Boost-in allows you to start from episode 2 if you don't wanna replay ep1.
