Heroes of Steel - Digital Comic Launches!

We are proud to announce the our first digital comic, Heroes of Steel: Whispers over Steel has just gone live on Comixology! The comic was painted by Martin Trese, and written by Andrew and Martin together. It's an exciting venture for our indie game studio to branch out and try something completely new, and a new medium. Martin's dream-like painting style helps drive the story about Olam the Mad, a prophet bearing grim news through the western Underdeep.

This comic will appeal best to those who have played Heroes of Steel, and includes some extra teaser elements for those who are playing through Episode 3 of the game right now. The timing couldn't be more perfect.



We hope you will join us in supporting Martin and the Trese Brothers by picking up a copy of our new comic today! The comic is also availalbe through the Comixology app. In the coming weeks, we will be working to bring it to other markets like Google Play Books and the iTunes Store.

There's a paradox here. Doesn't fallen equal Andrew, and if it doesn't, then who is fallen? Admin equals Cory. I've heard mention of a third TB called Martin and have question his existence since it's very similar to Martian, as in maybe a Zeno. But still I wonder who is fallen since he created this post and yet appears to be speaking of himself in the text "written by Andrew and Martin together." There's something strange going on here. Is it socks? A clone perhaps? Or have the different personalities begun to escape and there is only one TB, but many minds? This paradox could supplant even the great "Tootsie Pop" debate for who cares how many licks it takes, when one doesn't know who or what is fallen. Does a fallen in the forest make a sound? Can a fallen get up if it has fallen or does it need help,,,,,,, the paradox continues.

Thanks for your support! It is the type of project that took a huge amount of time and investment (20 pages, full digital painting) so we are hoping lots of people get involved! It's a new venture for us, so if it goes well we can imagine doing more!

I don't think literally. Perhaps metaphorically, the Shattering of the All-Father and the breaking of the world. The sun still shines on the broken surface world of Steel, so it was not devoured by a raging God. The first physical signs of the cataclysm were volcanos erupting where they had never existed before, great earthquakes that ruined the land and opened great chasms, and the sudden and inexplicable draining out of the world's oceans.
