Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I can't figure out how to use the Sedollan Warder's Charm to be able to camp in the City of the Dead. When I click on the waystation, I get a dialogue about how there are too many undead wandering around and without additional protection, it's too dangerous to camp. I assume the "additional protection" is referring to the warder's charm, so, while standing next to the center of the way station, I click on the "Items" menu, go to the Warder's Circle, and click use. I then get a message that says, "Warder's Charm - used to open campsites" but nothing happens. I'm still not allowed to camp and the warder's charm has not been removed from my inventory. Trying to camp gives me the same conversation about it being too dangerous. I have a feeling that I'm missing something obvious, so I'm sure I'll feel dumb once someone tells me what I'm doing wrong...  Thanks!  |

(1) Get told about them by Nikolai
(2) have one in your inventory
(3) approach a campsite and use it. When you walk away from it a few spaces, the Warder's Charm will deactivate.

fallen -- lol. thanks. I skipped step one, I guess. Time to keep searching... 
I wonder if a better in-game message is required, though. Something to the effect of, "we don't know how to use these yet" or something like that, to give a hint that more exploration is needed.

fallen - Like I said above, since when you're under the Braeys banner there is a waystation in the section of the city before you meet Nikolai, there should probably be a message that pops up if you try to use the Warding Charm that says something to the effect of "We don't know how to use this yet." That will at least give a clue that you need to keep searching.

fallen - unless you changed it in the past week or two, it does not. When you try to camp, you get a message saying that it's too dangerous. This doesn't tell you what you need to know, though, because one can assume that you need to use the Warder's Charm. If you go to your item menu and click double-click on the Charm to use it, you get a message saying that it's used to secure campsites. There is no indication that one needs to learn how to use them first. An easy solution would be to remove the waystation from that first screen after coming up the stairs from the Haunted Crypts. No waystation means no trying to use the Charm before meeting Nikolai.
