It's all good, @starfixer- only seeing text doesn't convey any emotion or inflection that would normally be spoken... I've had the same issue before

The fact of the matter is that we do not have the technical option of a "partial save" and the time required to add one is beyond our budget.
I looked this morning and didn't find any easy way to determine if an "unsaved ship design" exists -- which I was investigating to see if there was a way to visually warn the player about it. Unfortunately, it isn't an easy state to detect.
It has given me many things to think about for the next game, and if that features unit design we'll perhaps do it a bit differently (which, invariably, will have some other, different, issues.)
