Quests are easy to miss

Just found this game a week ago through star traders, it was a suggested app off another game i play, the infinite black, on itunes. first off, wow! I had no idea this was possible on a phone! Other developers are obviously lazy asshats because all I have really ever seen on the iphone is farmville candy iap crap.

Playing on an iphone 6plus, ios 8.1 game version 3.1.3, and have never had the game crash or do anything screwy (the sound buttons in menu but i read thats fixed and waiting for update on itunes.. The blood seems to go on and off on its own too lol, think that also fixed in update).

Anyhow im on my second run through on the elite version after a few goes with the free trial and realized after looking at the awesome EP1 map on another thread I missed the entire west road. My first crew is in the second city before i decided i wanted to not only restart but restart on hard.

So the first crew i missed the entire west road quest line, i dont even think i talked to the old lady. I am a clear the entire map explore every square kinda player so I certainly did not miss it on purpose.

The second go along i had cleared up to the second level in the rat hole under the fort before i stumbled onto the map on the forum... was kinda mad that i missed an entire quest line. I go talk to the old lady (hey no offense but there is a lot of dialogue that seems to go no where... all the questions at the temple in oskahold for example... There is really no indication that a quest is added/accepted... Give me a "new quest!" Pop up... While we are at it how about a giant gold exclamation point above places where there is a quest... Works in another game)

Anyhow i go talk to the old lady, she gives me the silver quest and i head over to the west road to go do it before i finish the vermin up north... And find the road blocked off. Now i am pissed because i read another post saying you cant do west road if u go north first.. I am ready to reroll a new game lol. Somehow i ended up walking over to the barricade that appears impassable.. And theres the cut scene with the guards and we are happily on our way.
I even did the caravan quest and had never even talked to the potion lady at this point...

Long story short, it is very easy to miss quests and pass them up.

Anyways, great game! You guys have done a kick ass job on this! Cant wait to get a little further and then reroll and try out the premium characters.


Edit: since i did the muddy cave before i talked to the potion lady, I finished the quest with her before ever accepting it. I then went through all her dialogue to make sure i didnt miss anything else and now in my quest log i have the finished quest entry and an entry saying i should go looking for the caravan... Cool staff! Good thing i didnt miss that quest reward

Welcome! Glad you're enjoying the game. My advice would be to look for buildings that have open doors (black space instead of wooden boards) and go through all dialogue options! Check your quest log often, as well! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Cheers.

riverjack - thanks for the complements! I'm glad you are enjoying Heroes and find us to be a stand-out game on the App Store. I really hope you'll leave a review on the game. Especially, whenever the game gets updated it would help if you updated your review!

1. I have removed the barricade from the West Road, which will make it harder to miss.
2. I've taken ticket #HOS-2908 to look into the ordering with the Lost Caravan quest - it does sound like if you do it backwards (complete quest, ask for quest) that there is a bug (should not allow ask for quest, should jump to a new option -- tell about quest + give reward).
