I had to factory reset my phone... and all my knights are gone. Mourn the fallen.
I need to learn how to back them up so this does not happen again.

Sorry to hear this. I suppose all your ST unlocks are gone, too?

Yep all gone. Google kept and reinstalled the games but not the game content. My HoS game will be gone too.
So the question is what knight do I start with? I guess it's time to up the difficulty, I have mastered hard.

Helium doesn't appear to be available for Kindle; is there a suggestion for which backup utility to use there, or some feature I should look for in the product description?

I suggest doing CK on crazy first-- it will teach you to avoid dying (losing exp when dying and permadeath when dead at 0xp) without you feeling like crap just kinda happens to you.
It'll also teach you to watch for higher level factions warring with lower factions, and why you should never go into Fenian territory with high heat while Fenians are Street Warring with AzTeks. :'/

Not having the ability to use stun gloves makes female 2 harder, and the really rotten starting weapon (much worse than the lightfire) that the sniper starts with makes the sniper exceptionally hard. For brutal your first purchase really has to be the cyan shock gloves (harken pawn brokers, Copley square) unless you are playing female 2 in which case it is the Ares Gamma 4 from Fairlight Outfitters in the West End. Also I strongly recommend ditching the cybersword/gunslinger you meet on the bridge -- also the dog if you are a hunder. You will get your dog back later, he will just be in the kennels waiting. The reason is that before I get those MP targetting weapons for the knight I would much rather have the easier battles -- 1 thugger or maybe 1 gang boy with dog instead of the larger party you will get if your party is of size 2, with twice as much experience, total. Then I don't rehire my dog until I can buy decent armour for him. I hate burying pups. But there are many ways to play this game -- my style may not suit you. But since you asked ... Good luck, and welcome to the ranks of the damned.
